  1. I think i can safely say that my macvlan issues is completely resolved by disabling bridging on the dedicated nic 🎉
  2. I also started seeing macvlan traces with 6.12.x, however i followed the advice in another thread to disable bridging for the nic running the dedicated Docker network and that seems to have resolved my traces. Right now the first post in this thread suggests enabling bridging, as i understand this has no benefits when the network is only used for Docker containers and disabling seems to have resolved my macvlan issues, so i think the suggestion should be to disable it.
  3. Hi there. I have an Intel I350-T2V2 dual port nic, where both ports are setup as a bond using 802.3ad link aggregation. I have another I210-T1 single port nic in the machine. Is it possible to setup an active-backup bond using the first 802.3ad bond as primary slave, and the I210 nic as secondary slave?
  4. I see SAS drives comes with higher rpm and i have read that the SCSI protocol performs better with multiple writes, so i want to play with them as a second tier cache. I cannot say that i wont use it to expand in the future, the posibility is nice to have. What is the difference on 4i, 8i and 16i? I need full PCIe bracket.
  5. I am playing with the idea of buying a PCIe SAS Controller card for my Lenovo ThinkStation P710, in order to create a secondary cache pool tiered between the existing NVME SSD's and the array, which consists of Seagate EXO's SATA drives. I know next to nothing about SAS so i would like some advise regarding controller cards. My primary reason for buying this is for learning purposes. I only need to support a maximum of 4 SAS drives. Speed is going to be the most important aspect, i can see that both 6GB/s and 12GB/s controllers exists, so i am oviously leaning towards 12GB/s. I have been looking at LSI SAS 9311-8i, i can find a lot of these cheap on eBay from China, i am always sceptical of buying things from China, do fakes of these exist? Do you have any recommendations regarding other models or brands? I really appreciate all help
  6. Could someone explain network bridging to me? Maybe a use case of when you would want to use this feature. Right now i have 2 nics in my server, the main nic gets ip from DHCP and most containers run in bridge or host mode. Second NIC runs on a vlan and has a single container with static ip. Everything can talk to each other no problem. When does one need bridging?
  7. Hi! My unRAID server crashes around once a week with the following stacktrace on the connected monitor. The server is a Lenovo ThinkStation P710. I see alot of lines in the stacktrace that look related to networking, i have an Intel i350-t4 pcie network card in the machine, could it be related? Could it be bad memory? Any good ideas? I am not sure how to get any more debug information from unraid, as the servers freezes completely and have to be hard rebooted
