  1. I clicked on it and it was in the drop down I will mark your response as the solution but can you tell me if I have to do that every time?
  2. Can I copy past what you typed or is that just an example. If it is just an example can you tell me how to find the file, or where it is supposed to be?
  3. First, I would like to apologize for my lack of knowledge. My brother was the tech guy who helped me set up my plex and unraid, without him I am lost. I have a dedicated desktop tower with my hard drives and unraid installed. I have always used Plex media server on a separate desktop. It is my understanding that I dont need the separate desktop to run plex. It can be done through dockers. But my unraid says "Docker service failed to start" The log says Nov 10 09:35:43 Tower emhttpd: shcmd (123): /usr/local/sbin/mount_image '/mnt/cache/docker' /var/lib/docker 20 Nov 10 09:35:43 Tower root: Cannot create '/mnt/cache/docker' or is not a directory I am assuming that is the problem but I have no idea what it means or how to fix it. I did look on the forum for the same thing but did not find anything. My guess is I dont know enough to search for the right topic. I do appreciate any help. I know it is difficult to walk people like me through tech stuff but I am trying to get better. tower-diagnostics-20231110-1042.zip
  4. Got everything resolved and wanted to share the results in case anyone else ran into similar issues. Short answer: Set up a back up power supply (battery back up surge protector.) Long answer: If you look through this thread you will see that I was having a lot of issues with connection to HDDs. I tried swapping sata cables power supplies and drives. Every time I seemed to get one connection to work it was like another one would go offline. Turl (Thanks for your help) kept going back to thinking there was a problem with the power connections. This got me thinking about power in general. I recently moved from a newly built house to a 60 year old house. I started noticing electric issues throughout the house. The power is inconsistent. Through some testing I learned the outlet I am using has some severe dips in power output. I don't think the power supply in my server was getting enough juice from the wall to keep everything powered up. This led to intermittent power issues and and an inability to consistently connect to all the drives. I purchased and set up a surge protector that has an in incorporated power bank. It basically regulates the power output. It protects from surges but also provides power from the battery back up if the juice from the wall dips. I can not honestly say my logic is correct but since I installed the power back up I have had zero issues. Hope this may help others in the future. Not sure if it matters, but the system has always had a battery back up in the past but when I reclaimed it a few weeks ago I was not able to get the back up. Good luck and thanks again to turl for all the help
  5. I only recently read that you shouldn't but I don't want to change anything until I get the issue resolved. It was all working before I updated to the current version but I updated from 6.0.1
  6. The shares are there but they are empty. The disks show that the data is still there.
  7. So I replaced the power supply, Checked all the conections for both power and sata. Rebooted and have the same problem. Any Ideas? tower-diagnostics-20201114-1220.zip
  8. I am thinking I might need a bigger power supply, The current one was installed for 2 fewer drives. This all started when I replaced a drive that failed. The new drive is faster and uses more power. If the system does not have enough power in general could it cause these issues?
  9. Sorry saw this after my last post. So try changing the sata cable on the parity drive?
