  1. @guy.davis thanks for your answer, but it did not resolve my problem. That being said I did not do it exactly the way you suggested, but I made a new share and set the plotting to that. I still get the exact same error. Now it's set to /mnt/user/chstorage/ /mnt/user/chplot/ does it have to be unnassigned drive? It's difficult in this machine to get an extra ssd, but might have to change something here
  2. Hi, and thanks for a really great app! Ive been using it for months and have only one problem that I did not know about before recently when I tried plotting on this machine. It is plotting just fine, but it can't move it to the main folder. I just keep getting "Invalid cross-device link". Right now I have to manually move the plots to the main folder and rename to .plot The setup is just: /plots1 <> /mnt/user/chstorage/ /plotting <> /mnt/user/chstorage/Plotting/ Any tips to get me in the right direction?
  3. @itimpi Thaks for that idea, I ran with that solution. I set up a new share and put a seperate vdisk there and added that to the VM as new disk. It works perfectly it seems. Now I have another question. I can't seem to understand the logic behind the Unraid Cache settings. I set the new share to Cache = OFF, but it still puts everything being copied to the new vdisk through the cache disk. After copying was done, I turned off the VM and started the mover to the array. That worked, but would rather the extra disk just stayed off the cache drive all together. So what does the different cache setting actually do: OFF, Always, Prefer and only?
  4. @JorgeB Thanks, your suggestion fixed the problem straight away and the mover started. Now I hope you can clarify for me: Should I now change the cache settings to off, and that will stop the use of cache for all my VMs? @itimpi So if I get this right, running a VM with a large internal drive is not an optimal solution for getting speed in the VM? This particular VM is just hosting media files, so it's not the biggest problem, if I understand you correctly, I won't be able to run other VMs off cache now? Is there a way to load one VM off the array and the rest with cache?
  5. So i set up a Windows 10 VM a couple of days ago and it worked great. I set the size of the disk to be 2TB and did not think about how the cache was set up against the domains folder. So basically as I have been moving data into the VM the cache disk has been filling up and now its 100% full and the VM will not run, it gets set on pause after a very short time after starting. I since has changed the settings for domains to turn cache off, but it will not move anything off the cache. Is there any way to move this to the array? Manually starting the mover does nothing. Also is there no way to use cache with a large VM without having a huge cachedrive?
  6. Ok, so I have server that I'm now exchanging for a new one and moving all the drives to that. Problem is that the new machine won't boot from the USB that I have been using. It boots fine to a windows 10/11 install usb and the internal drive, but not to the Unraid USB. I tried running the make bootable .exe file on the drive, but to difference. I also tried all the different USB ports on the back with reboots inbetween. Specs of new server: Aorus B460 PRO AC, Intel i9 10850K, 16GB Corsair 3200 MHz DDR4 There isn't a lot of setting for boot on the motherboard, but I tried Fast boot on and off Secure boot is off CFG Lock on and off The usb boots fine in the old server still. Also tried a different brand new Unraid usb, and that did not work either Hope someone can help!
