  1. Hello, Trying to run the Project Zomboid dedicated server on Unraid. Fully stock docker install, changed nothing on it. Also tried reinstalling because of the problems. Forwarded ports based on the comments, (16261-16262 TCP+UDP, 8766-8767 TCP+UDP, 27010-27040 TCP+UDP and 16263-16270 TCP) but still unable to get it to run correctly for multiplayer. I know the forwarded ports work fine as I have tested setting up other services on those ports and they work without problem. I also have several other servers and services of various types on multiple computers using port forwarding without any issues. I myself can connect fine from within the LAN, both with Steam relay on and off. Players over internet cannot connect, however, they are just getting "Server failed to respond" trying both port 16261 and 16262. From the router I can see the rule for these ports trigger, 58 bytes of data is transferred every time someone tries to connect - but they get nothing and I see absolutely nothing in the server logs, it is as if they never tried connecting at all. They have tried both stream relay on and off. Anybody have any tips on what to try?
  2. Thank you for the link, it is interesting that your issue did not exhibit itself on the 1430SA whereas mine does, but it certainly would seem there is something odd with these Samsung drives. I think the best course of action is to replace them as they are quite old anyway and not worth much effort.
  3. Ok, this is what I will do then. What kind of quirks did you encounter with the Samsung ECO -drives? If it is something similar, maybe I will just replace them straight away with new drives.
  4. Sorry for bringing the topic back from the dead but were you able to find out where the problem was in your case? I have the exact same problem, Unraid server downgrading network from 1Gbit to 10mbit once the server has been running about 10-20 days and going back to 1Gbit upon reboot. Have changed cables multiple times (I have a lot of them), even swapping cable/switch port with another system, which runs flawlessly on both the cables and ports - but the Unraid server drops to 10mbit after a while. I am suspecting the network card atm but it does seem like a weird hardware problem - the reboot helps immediately for 10-20 days before the downgrade happens.
  5. Hi all, I am running a backup Unraid server - primarily focused on syncing data from another server and running a few Minecraft servers - which has some rather weird issues with HD speed on an external SATA card. Specs: Unraid 6.8.3 HP Elite 8200 microtower Intel i5-2500K / 16GB / Dual Intel NIC HD connections: Connected to the mainboard SATA I have the following: Hitachi 2TB (works perfectly fine) WD 2TB and 2x WD 1TB drives, all WD Green (all work just fine) Connected to the Adaptec Serial ATA II RAID 1430SA (rev 02) I have the following: 2x Samsung F1 HD154UI 1.5TB drives (not working that well) The problem: After a clean boot, all the six drives report good figures on hdparm (around 110-120MB/s on all) and the same speeds are noticeable during transfers into or from the server. However after a while (not very clear how long, I would say a few days max) the other drives keep showing good speeds but both the Samsungs connected to the Adaptec card suddenly start reporting transfer speeds of 10-20MB/s in hdparm and this is also evident in transfers from and to the server and during parity-checks, which proceed at speeds of 10-20MB/s. This issues has happened on several reboots repeated itself very similarly. I've been scratching my head thinking about this, have considered replacing the Samsungs, but not sure if that would help and also the server really does not need any more HD space, so it does seem like a waste. Have not pulled the Samsungs out yet to test them outside the machine or even swapped drives between SATA connections as my first thought was to ask if anyone else has had similar issues with Adaptec 1430SA? Would appreciate any tips and experiences on the Adaptec! - jani
