Since rTorrent is discontinued, i am looking forward to installing qBittorrent. Does anyone know how to migrate from rTorrent to qBittorrent while retaining stats? Thank you!

Also interested.

I just figured out my SSD is not present anymore. 😅 I was trying to find the syslog file that was on the cache drive. I wondered why the syslog file was so small. It was a ADATA SWORDFISH, 250GB, M.2. I think i'll have to buy something more reliable.

Hello, After 3 months of running just fine, today i encountered a unclean shutdown. I'm not sure what could've happened. It wasn't a power issue. I hope someone can figure out the problem from the diagnostics. I've managed to restore my docker applications, but i have backup running once a week and if this becomes a issue i don't want to wait for a bigger problem. Thank you! tower-diagnostics-20220109-1733.zip

Apparently the problem is solved by running the command '/sbin/modprobe iptable_mangle', but i hope i won't have to do this every time i stop the docker. Not that I do it very often, but it would be very annoying.

Same here. Since today i've been unable to access the webUI. Does anyone know what's going on? I'm also having some errors: 2021-04-03 21:43:18 WARNING: OpenVPN was configured to add an IPv6 route. However, no IPv6 has been configured for tun0, therefore the route installation may fail or may not work as expected. 2021-04-03 21:43:18 add_route_ipv6(::/3 -> :: metric -1) dev tun0 2021-04-03 21:43:18 net_route_v6_add: ::/3 via :: dev tun0 table 0 metric -1 2021-04-03 21:43:18 sitnl_send: rtnl: generic error (-13): Permission denied 2021-04-03 21:43:18 ERROR: Linux IPv6 route can't be added 2021-04-03 21:43:18 add_route_ipv6(2000::/4 -> :: metric -1) dev tun0 2021-04-03 21:43:18 net_route_v6_add: 2000::/4 via :: dev tun0 table 0 metric -1 2021-04-03 21:43:18 sitnl_send: rtnl: generic error (-13): Permission denied 2021-04-03 21:43:18 ERROR: Linux IPv6 route can't be added 2021-04-03 21:43:18 add_route_ipv6(3000::/4 -> :: metric -1) dev tun0 2021-04-03 21:43:18 net_route_v6_add: 3000::/4 via :: dev tun0 table 0 metric -1 2021-04-03 21:43:18 sitnl_send: rtnl: generic error (-13): Permission denied 2021-04-03 21:43:18 ERROR: Linux IPv6 route can't be added 2021-04-03 21:43:18 add_route_ipv6(fc00::/7 -> :: metric -1) dev tun0 2021-04-03 21:43:18 net_route_v6_add: fc00::/7 via :: dev tun0 table 0 metric -1 2021-04-03 21:43:18 sitnl_send: rtnl: generic error (-13): Permission denied 2021-04-03 21:43:18 ERROR: Linux IPv6 route can't be added

Is there some tweak so that rutorrent doesn't reset the upload/download stats every time i restart/stop/update the client?

Can anyone please point to an article that explains what spin down/spin up array button does? I only used it to see my HDD temperatures, but I have no ideea how this affects my array. If i press "Spin down" my temp disappears. Is that normal?

Something else might have happened at that exact hour. I don't think it's a coincidence my devices and clients started disconnecting around the same time the server rebooted. What's really odd is that if this was indeed a power outage, there was no parity check needed.
-
It would be interesting if i was able to see what happened before that. Are there some plugin/apps that could help me save more info in case this happens again? Currently i'm only using netdata.
-
And there was no power outage. I checked in other log files just to make sure.

After 3 days of working just fine, today i found my array stopped all of a sudden. I started it again and everything seems to be fine, but i have no idea what caused this. tower-diagnostics-20210210-1918.zip

PLEX causing high cpu usage (70 - 80%) when idle
Johnster replied to Johnster's topic in General Support
Thanks for pointing this out. I think this might have been the problem, as i observed this high cpu usage at around 02:30 am. Maybe this one should be unchecked "Perform extensive media analysis during meintenance", as all the others seem to be cpu friendly. -
Hello everyone, I installed unraid a few days ago and since then i've been playing with my favorite apps. Yesterday morning i had installed plex and everything was running smoothly until last night when i found my ryzen 3600 all spiked up at 70-80% usage. I quickly installed netdata and found this: - my cpu usage was somewhere about 75% up; - there were disk writes at about 100 mb/s; - my ram was used about 90%; - my network activity went down and up without anything being downloaded/uploaded. Netdata said something about iowait being the problem. Without knowing what really is the cause, i stopped plex and everything went back to normal. I took this diagnosis right after i stopped plex docker. Right now i have plex running and everything seems to be fine (for the moment). Could this be actually a faulty disk? Or bad configuration? I have 2x4TB ironwolf disks. Thank you!

(SOLVED) UNRAID NOT DISCOVERABLE AFTER CLEAN SHUTDOWN
Johnster replied to Johnster's topic in General Support
I really don't know what happened, but everything works normal now. It may have been a networking issue, as i have first connected on a subnet. I can firmly confirm that MSI b450 can run unraid without a graphics card (you just need one for the initial setup), just in case someone else is interested. I just had to rewrite my network config file. Thanks all of you for the answers. -
(SOLVED) UNRAID NOT DISCOVERABLE AFTER CLEAN SHUTDOWN
Johnster replied to Johnster's topic in General Support
I can't believe this. I've put the card back in and everything works now. I have a MSI B450-A PRO MAX. Does anyone know how to get around this? EDIT: What i don't understand is why does it act like this. It's not like the system won't start. It starts, but i just can't access it. -
Hello everyone, After making my first install, everything went smootly and i shut down the system from the webgui (i didn't make any settings). I have set the flash drive as the default booting device. After making sure everything is ok, i removed the graphics card, as i don't need it for now. After moving the server to my server room, the webgui is not discoverable anymore. Also, it has no ip adress assigned . I can see that the port is used in the unifi network (i have a unifi router and switch), but there's no ip adress asigned and it won't show up in the client list. I have come to the conclusion that maybe it has something to do with removing the graphics card? I tried changing the usb port, the network port on the switch and nothing changed. I'm running out of ideas. Thank you!

Hello everyone, This is my first NAS and i decided to go with unraid after a lot of reading. My budget would be around 550$ for components (except HDD's - i'm going to buy 4x4TB). This is what i have come up with until now: Case: Node 304 MB: MSI B450M PRO-M2 MAX CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 2200G 3.5GHz box RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 32GB DDR4 2666MHz CL16 Dual Channel Kit SSD ADATA Swordfish 250GB PCI Express 3.0 x4 M.2 2280 (i need to do some more reading on this. I read that it's good to have a SDD for cache pool, but i can't fully understand what that means). PSU: Seasonic 500W, Core Series, 80 PLUS Gold I would like to know if this is enough for: rutorrent with ~1,5k torrents. deluge with ~500 torrents. 1 plex stream (maybe 2, rarely) on a 4k tv. I'm mostly playing 1080p files. some occasional backups. Also, do i need a GPU? I see this CPU has 7000 pasmark points. Someone here stated i would need 17000 for a 4k transcode, but as I understand it, if I play a 4k file on a 4k tv, that's a direct-play. Does that 17000 requirement still apply if I want to upscale a 1080p file on my 4k TV? Thank you!
