  1. Thanks. I didn't realize that those settings were there, and still not sure why they changed. Do you happen to know where the configuration for this is stored?
  2. Yes, it is. Thanks for taking the time to respond. I've deleted and re-created multiple times with a couple different settings, but still the same.
  3. Any ideas why I'm not able to access my root share remotely from multiple Windows and Android devices? I believe that it may coincide with me deleting my network.cfg due to apparent file corruption, but I don't know for sure. geauxwolf-diagnostics-20230319-1700.zip
  4. I don't know why I'm having such bad luck with thumb drives, but another one has bit the dust. I have used the installer to create a new one and copied my license file over, but obviously this isn't working. Please help. What do i need to do to get Unraid functional again.
  5. Hi all, The very nice Fix Common Problems plugin has pointed out to me that I have many, many directories under /System/Docker, sample below, that have the (almost) same directory with one of them having one or all capital letters while the other is all lower case, and nicely points out that Windows doesn't handle this very well. Both directories, of the ones I sampled, have the exact same contents in both of them. Does anyone know why this occurred or better yet an easy way to clean it up? I truly appreciate the plugin for pointing this out, but it must be trivial to script the cleanup given the list of folders and the way it looks like the contents are duplicated. I didn't not mean easy for me, though...guess I'm destined to deleting one or the other of these with maybe Krusader. My biggest problem at the moment though, is that without a good back of this share, I deleted the first \Pod via Windows and it, obviously right, well it wasn't to me, deleted both Pod and pod. There was only one file in the directories, and i've notice no immediate problems, although i'm sure that it will come back to haunt me. If anyone happens to have that folder and file, and doesn't mind sharing the file, I'd be very grateful to receive it. The following directories exist with similar names, only differing by the 'case' which will play havoc with Windows / SMB access. Windows does NOT support folder names only differing by their case and strange results will happen should you attempt to manipulate the folders or files 6. Anyone else seeing this in 2021.09.24?
  7. I just rebooted the Unraid server and the issue has resolved itself. I was using Putty from a Windows 10 Pro notebook. After my first post, I decided to enable and try telnet (again from Putty) and it allowed me to login, but SSH still did not until the restart. I'll post back should this occur again, but hopefully it was a one time thing. Thanks, Frank1940, for the assistance.
  8. Hi, I'm getting "Access Denied" when trying to SSH into my Unraid server as root using Putty. Things I've looked at/considered: 1. The server is relatively new. It hasn't had any SSH plugins installed. 2. Not sure how long this has been broken, but it has worked sometime pre 6.9. 3. The certs in /config/ssh on the flash drive look okay size wise. 4. There is no sshd_conf file. Shouldn't their be one? 5. The password is known. Use it to access the GUI. 6. Here is what the syslog server has: Feb 11 00:23:10 UNRAID sshd[8756]: Connection from xxx.xxx.xxx.102 port 53741 on xxx.xxx.xxx.117 port 22 rdomain "" Feb 11 00:23:15 UNRAID sshd[8756]: Postponed keyboard-interactive for root from xxx.xxx.xxx.102 port 53741 ssh2 [preauth] Feb 11 00:23:32 UNRAID sshd[8874]: pam_unix(sshd:auth): authentication failure; logname= uid=0 euid=0 tty=ssh ruser= rhost=xxx.xxx.xxx.102 user=root Feb 11 00:23:34 UNRAID sshd[8756]: error: PAM: Authentication failure for root from xxx.xxx.xxx.102 Feb 11 00:23:34 UNRAID sshd[8756]: Failed keyboard-interactive/pam for root from xxx.xxx.xxx.102 port 53741 ssh2 I don't find anything on PAM configuration in Unraid. Any ideas? Thanks! unraid-diagnostics-20210211-0128.zip
