  1. For the record, I found the problem. Not sure what caused the instant shutdowns, but reinstalling NUT - I mean removing it, restarting, installing it and restarting again - fixed it. The other issue was probably caused by unraid's integrated UPS config - it was enabled and configured for usbhid as well, and I vaguely remember that it sortofkindof works with this eaton. It probably caused the orignal issue as well. Not sure how it got enabled, maybe I mixed it up with NUT at some point and didn't realize the error. Oh, and I've also updated to 6.12.4, that could also be a factor
  2. Hi, I have an Eaton 5e 850i, which works through the usbhid-ups protocol. Recently (not sure when it started), it shuts down about a minute after power is out ignoring the settings. Is NUT logging somewhere why exactly it decided to shut down? Also, is there some kind of "simulate shutdown setting"? It's quite annoying that every test takes a 5 minute reboot to see if the new setting worked or not. Thanks in advance! Edit: I think my ups does something funky when power comes back as well. I did a clear reinstall of NUT from CA, and it seemed to fix the issue - but when I turn back power, communication with the UPS is lost, with this in the syslog: Aug 30 23:05:09 mikrobi usbhid-ups[6249]: nut_libusb_get_interrupt: Input/Output Error. 3. Maybe I was still on a previous version. I only just updated to 6.10 because I happen to have a microserver gen8 which originally wasn't recommended due to a bug. On 6.10, I went back to libreelec (I found some forum posts that libreelec supports this on kernel 5.15 and later), and it worked without problems.
  4. Hi there, Quite some time ago we tried getting my MyGyca T230A running with @ich777, but we failed, at least getting dvb-c running. Now I have a different setup and I don't have DVB-C anymore, but I do have DVB-T routed to my unraid server. So I thought to give this tuner a try again so I can sell my DVB-C capable tuner. I managed to get it working perfectly with DVB-T using the TBS-OpenSource package after I added the firmwares I tried back then: https://github.com/osmc/dvb-firmware-osmc/raw/master/dvb-demod-si2168-d60-01.fw https://github.com/osmc/dvb-firmware-osmc/raw/master/dvb-tuner-si2141-a10-01.fw We also have DVB-T2 test running here, which also worked. Wether or not DVB-C is working, I have no idea and I cannot test anymore. Still, I think it is worth adding the above firmwares to the TBS-OpenSourse package. I know it is weird that it works with that driver and not libreelec, but if it works, who cares BTW, it's a cool tuner, I also have an old af9015 based tuner, both of these T230 tuners can do about 10dB better signal strength. Thanks for the continous developement of the plugin as well as the help back then!
  5. FYI, my T230C2 arrived and it works perfectly without tinkering using the libreelec drivers. Let me know if you need any testing with T230A, I think I put it in a drawer until it gets reliable DVB-C support at which point I can probably sell it.
  6. Hm, that's not bad, shipping is just 8EUR. Well, if 230c won't work, that could be the next try. It will take a while though, 230c is coming from China.
  7. Well, it might be just a habit. I used DVB-T cards for a long time, but stopped when I moved 2 years ago. When I bought the dongle I used, PCIe support on linux were non-existant, and PCI on modern computers died out. Half height cheap TBS card could be an option, but I can't find a retailer in Hungary. Currently, I can't even find a <100EUR card in the EU - a few days ago I did, but the shipping cost was crazy high. I googled for dvbsky, but I only found DVB-S cards. Finally, I'm looking for something that works with Digi, the local DVB-C provider which uses no encryption. It seemed a local community had good experience with 230C - so I bought that 230A, thinking it's the same thing - I think it will work eventually, since it seems to be replacing the 230C, but I'm not patient enough.
  8. Yes, definitely don't include it yet. DVB-C doesn't work at all, and while I think I managed to set up an antenna well enough so it should be able to at least create the channel list, every time it reaches that point of the scan in tvheaded, the kernel throws a fatal error (not always the same, so I don't copy it here) and restarts the tuner. I probably won't put any more effort into this unless I get help in the TBS-OS github. I already ordered the 230C/230Cv2 version, which should be well tested at this point. Anyone needs a 230A?
  9. Indeed it works. In my case however, it looks like the firmware files are not part of the package. I had to manually wget these files: https://github.com/osmc/dvb-firmware-osmc/raw/master/dvb-demod-si2168-d60-01.fw https://github.com/osmc/dvb-firmware-osmc/raw/master/dvb-tuner-si2141-a10-01.fw Now I just need to figure out why dvb-c doesn't want to work.
  10. Same error Sorry, I won't be home on the weekend, cannot test anything in the next couple of days.
  11. Ok, I think I have the same problem as @pk1057. When using the libreelec driver, nothing happens on modprobe. When using the TBS drivers: modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'dvb_usb_dvbsky': Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg) dmesg: [46643.748070] videobuf2_vmalloc: Unknown symbol media_frame_vector_to_pages (err -2) [46643.748107] videobuf2_vmalloc: Unknown symbol media_frame_vector_to_pfns (err -2) (repeats a couple of time) I'm pretty sure now that I need the TBS driver. I managed to build the driver from this repo on my desktop, and, if I understand correctly, that's what this plugin calls TBS-OS. Unfortunately, I also found that altough DVB-T works with this driver, DVB-C does not seem to.
  12. It is _a_ Geniatech device. Not _the_ Geniatech device unfortunately - that would be the T230 and T230C. I was using TBS-OS because it did seem to support it. I also found this PR, in which, if I understand correctly got the drivers into the TBS kernel: https://github.com/tbsdtv/linux_media/pull/230 However, I see no trace of similar modifications in the libreelec kernel. Diagnostics attached, this time with LibreELEC drivers. mikrobi-diagnostics-20210429-2251.zip
  13. Hi, I have a mygica t230a, which did create dvb device, but did not work for at least dvb-c in the previous build of the plugin, using TBS-OS. So when I got notified on the update, I hoped that it might get it to work, but it actually got worse: It's not even recognized now. I also tried the libreelec version, still no luck. Now, I understand, this is a very new device, it is even possible that it's broken - I have not much else I can test it with. But I wonder, when can I expect this plugin to support it? Related URLs I found on t230a: https://forum.libreelec.tv/thread/23142-mygica-t230a/?pageNo=1 https://github.com/crazycat69/linux_media/commit/e1ef47d604775c550a8f0d1bda276c113f882c9b lsusb and dmesg attached. Thanks for the help, and in general, for the plugin! lsusb.txt dmesg.txt
