I currently have an old computer that I used to setup unraid on to test things out. I only really setup DuckDNS, Cloudflare, plex (no media) and krusader.
Current drives 1 SSD 500GB and 1 4TB hard drive.
I just built a new server for myself link below, that I plan and switching my unraid USB over too. My question is if I should just start from scratch since I don't have any media installed or should I just move everything over to my new server build?

Sorry for the late reply...
I'm still working on this build and have a ways to go. I purchased the case and PSU and already have both 6tb red drives. I'm going to go with the 12700k, but not sure what motherboard. Hopefully by the time i piece this together they will have the bugs worked out.

Plan on going Intel probably an i7 12th gen. Is there any issues with quick sync on unRAID? Plan on using quick sync and purchase a GPU down the road.

Any combo you would recommend? Why not AMD parts?

$750.- and 4k-transcoding? Maybe... but i think not...
See my signature - you can leave a few things out, but...
The Sys can transcode 4k to 1080p/12Mbit (Plex HW-Transcoding over iGPU) - price € 1.520.- (~ $ 1.800.-) "without" HDDs and SSDs...
(unraid Pro license and Plex-Pass for HW-Transcoding included)
FYI: 4k-transcoding on a CPU needs a "monster" of a CPU - 8 cores are not enough...
I don't mind spending more, just wanted a starting price. What mother board\CPU combo do you recommend?

Ok here’s my situation. I currently have a ReadyNas 212 with 2 bays with 12TB total. I’m now getting into 4k and want to be able to stream and transcode 4k movies. Looking to do a DIY and want some recommendations on what to build. I’ve been searching but not really any luck on what to build… Any feedback I would appreciate.
Price around $1250 ish without drives (Will do Intel I5 or I7 12th gen unless there is issues with the 12th gen

unRAID won't boot.

As the title states I'm unable to boot unRAID. I pulled my USB stick from my old build that boots with no issues, but I can't get my new server to boot.
I have an Asus Z690 proart board.
I know I need to disable secure boot but I can figure out how to do so.
Also do I need to change any other settings in Bios?
Thanks
