  1. Hi, My server has been running for ~17 days when suddenly around 11:40 pm I got a message on discord there was an Unclean shutdown detected. The server restarted by itself which normally when an power outage happens it does not. Could some help me get some insight on why this could have happend to prevent it? I decided to buy a UPS to help get a clear shutdown. Thank you! cappiserver-diagnostics-20240127-1302.zip syslog-192.txt
  2. Thats the first thing I do, stop all the dockers one by one and disable docker. As for the VM I did not, not that I am using any VM. But the status of both docker and VM is "Stopped". I will surrender now and press the "reboot' button which will probably not work since it can't unmount and then go for the hard reboot :)..
  3. Yes that's what I have been looking into, but I wouldn't know where to look anymore. I turned off all my devices, I turned off my modem and router but it still won't work. This happens every time I need to shutdown my array and a shutdown will make me do the parity check all over again every time I'm out of ideas
  4. Thank you for taking the time to look into it! Here is the output of "losetup": root@CappiServer:~# losetup NAME SIZELIMIT OFFSET AUTOCLEAR RO BACK-FILE DIO LOG-SEC /dev/loop1 0 0 1 1 /boot/bzfirmware 0 512 /dev/loop0 0 0 1 1 /boot/bzmodules 0 512
  5. Excuse me for the late response, I wanted to avoid stopping the array for as long as possible but I had to because my docker img. was running full. And again I'm still stuck with the Array Stopping•Retry unmounting user share(s)... Attached the diagnostics cappiserver-diagnostics-20230921-1542.zip
  6. If I want to update, restart, or stop the array on my Unraid server, it always results in an unclear shutdown. This happened again when I was trying to update to the latest version, 6.12.4. As a precaution, I had already stopped all the Docker containers, but it didn't help. In the bottom left corner, I see the message: "retry unmounting disks," and I recall reading somewhere that it might be related to /mnt/user. I had read on the internet that this could happen if there's an SSH session open or something similar, but as far as I know, that's not the case. I wouldn't know what else to do since my knowledge in this area is quite limited. I'm hoping someone can provide insight into why this is happening. I've attached the system logs. Thank you in advance! syslog-192.168.68.61.log
  7. Hello fellow Unraid users, I recently purchased a new cache drive for my Unraid server. Unfortunately, I accidentally added this new NVMe M.2 drive to the same pool as my existing 500GB M.2 drive. Now, the new drive is showing as "Device is part of a pool." This wasn't my intention, and I realized it later. I want to remove the new NVMe drive from the current pool and create a new pool for it. However, it's not as easy as I expected. I've made dozens of attempts, but apart from initiating new parity syncs, I haven't made any progress. I do know it has been asked before on this forum but after reading them and trying it out it still won't work and getting crazy here Here are some links to the things I've tried: Link1 Link2 Link3 And a few more but can't find them. Is there anyone who can help me? Thank you! cappiserver-diagnostics-20230724-1231.zip
  8. Hi fellow Unraiders, I'm looking into building a Unraid server with the usecase of running multiple docker containers and vm's. Some of the docker containers: Plex Media Server Nextcloud *arr's Tautulli Some Twitch PVR's And some other small stuff. It doesn't take a lot of cpu power to run those but extracting files from nzbget can be harsh sometimes on the cpu. I have a small 1060 laying around to help with the Plex HW transcoding. Further I want to set up a Windows VM, this will go together with the 3060. I'm thinking of playing some coop couch games on there and use it as a dedicated OBS streaming solution. There are some parts that I already have like the RAM, Case and the 1060. Will this build be good to run multiple docker containers while having a VM with OBS and be future proof? I also want some other Linux vm's to help me with my study software development. The only thing that is holding me a little bit back is the power consumption since its an 13900k thats running 24/7. On the other hand I don't want to think in a few months that I should have gone with a better cpu. Thank you for reading! https://pcpartpicker.com/list/RbXWRv
  9. Hello fellow Unraid users, I am planning on upgrading my current server to something with more power. Currently running 32 containers. Including Plex Media Server. But I notice when I want to use a VM (Ubuntu) the cpu will spike to 80% without even doing something in the VM. My Idea is to run OBS in a VM but it isn't doable because the cpu will max out. Will my upgrade be any help? Current build: Intel® Core™ i3-10100 CPU PRIME B460M-A 32 DDR4 RAM NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB New Build: Intel® Core™ i9-13900K MSI MAG B660M Mortar WiFi DDR4 32 DDR4 RAM NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB I am aware of the higher power consumption. So I will have to Upgrade my PSU from SeaSonic 550 to a 850. Any help, tips and or advice are welcome
  10. You are totally right! They can just connect with the custom domain. Awesome! Thanks for all the help and info
  11. Got no one online to test that out right now but I will try! The screenshot comes from the site Cloudflare. I use that for all my reverse proxy's on my Unraid and for my Minecraft server so people can join trough my custom domain name. Thought I needed to do that also for Satisfactory. Thanks for all the help and it works if they use my public ip so if I cant change that it's no so bad
  12. You are totally right. My bad. It works like a charm when they connect trough the tab ''Server manager''. I know it has been asked already but I couldn't find an answer, is it possible to let them connect trough an custom domain. I have an own domain and use cloudflare, I got it working for minecraft etc but not can't get it to work on satisfactory. Any tips? (not sure if i have to change something in the docker template, I set it to a custom network)
  13. Hi, I am trying to get an dedicated server for Satisfactory up and running but I am unable to let other players join the server. I am running the container on Unraid and did not change anything in the template. I forwarded the ports: 15000(UDP) and 15777(UDP). I can't change my server ingame to "friends only" and they are not able to join in any other way. Not really sure what to do next so any tips are great It does work if I would play solo but that is not the intention of the server. Ingame I cant change to ''Friends" when I show the Session ID it says: Invalid Session Unraid Satisfactory docker log.txt
  14. Hi! I will be new to UNRAID and want to build a low power consumption server. i noticed a lot of people are building an server with an SuperMicro motherboard so i'm gonna follow. There isn't a lot of available SuperMicro options available in my counrty (Netherlands) so the best one I could find was an X11SSL-F. I want ECC. My question now is; What is a good cpu combo with this motherboard? Keep in mind I want to try to build a low power consuming server and I don't want an GPU, so if possible I want integrated graphics. Purpose of this build: Dockers; - Sonarr - Radarr - NZBGet - Syncarr - Plex Media server (I wont be transcoding! There will be ~5 people who direct play from the server) - Minecraft Server VM's: - Windows - In the future I think I want more VM's but again, I am new to this so never used an VM. Not sure if this is the right location to ask but I'm also looking for suitable RAM, Case and PSU. Hope someone can help! Thank you
