Okay, Ive done this, but mover isnt able to move anything as the FS is marked as readonly. Sharing last line and updated diagnostics wmc-diagnostics-20220507-2308.zip

For the past 2-3 weeks, my cache drive has become full. I tried running the mover and that did not cleanup the drive. I ran df and found that one of my dockers folder was not getting cleaned up. I dont need most of that data so I tried deleting it, but everytime I try it says read only file system. I have posted the diagnostics here.. this is btfrs.. i am running a backup of appdata, it is about 500GB, so take sometime. anyhelp would be great.. wmc-diagnostics-20220507-2208.zip

Thank you.. I will start looking for a chasis only option.. I already started looking for the SQ power supplies and will need to figure out how to have quieter fans..

Yes, I have a nice rack where I would like to consolidate all my networking / av stuff.. Right now i have an ancient ( <12 year old ) antec tower, which I would like to retire

What am I not asking correctly ? Can someone suggest if I can use the above case ?

This is a good build.. Does anyone has a recommendation for having a rack mounted case for this ?

I don't have a modular psu.. it was straight up attached power cables.. ( 2 of the 3 sata connectors on one cable were flaky ) .. dont ask how I found out ( it was a lot of guessing, replacing cables, swearing and late nights to figure that out .. ) this is a 80 gold evga power supply..

Thanks for your help on this.. I was able to figure out that my brand new psu had a set of sata power supplies not working. I was able to to bring it back alive, by removing that psu and replacing with other, rebuilding the system. Now am looking to replace the entire system with a more reliable rack mounted server ( already have other av components on my server rack ) have a different thread on that..

Hi, I have a unraid running currently with 4x8tb + 8 tb + 512gb (cache ) drive configuration on a very old antec tower with drives attached to a 500w power supply. I am looking to move this to rack mounted chassis and was looking for super micro ones. I dont run much ( plex / piehole / fileservers/ cloud backups and such ) is all my use..Would like to get something which will run good or the next 5 or so years before i need to upgrade.. Details Below in the requested format What is your budget? - $500 Drives - 4x8 TB ( currently running ) + 8tb Parity + 512GB Cache - ( repurposing from current ) Is expandability important to you? If so, what's your long term goal?- Maybe go to 8-10 drives in future.. nothing more Do you want to run green/low power drives or faster 7200 rpm drives? - Repurposing current western digital black / white label drives What do you plan to run for hard drives? - I am not sure what this question entails Just the drives 5x8 Tb ( from WD easystore 8tb - shucked ) - Various connectors / CPU heatsinks - 500w psu ( evga) / various cables - I found this one on ebay..(Supermicro CSE-836TQ-R1200B X8DTH) Recommendations would be great.. Its missing a heat shroud / heat sinks ( which I think i can easily procure )..

Thats what I did, I reassigned to the same slot and rebuild started and stopped midway in the night, I will try and post diagnostics as soon as I get home..

I have a 4 year old array which had a power supply failure yesterday. I went ahead and replaced the PSU and got the array back online. When it came online, one of drive started shows disconnected and it was probably due my mistake of disconnecting a drive. I reconnected every thing properly and the drive came back online. I followed instructions, started the array with 3 drives, stopped, and started the rebuild. Over the night, it stopped and the disk is now unmounted and mount button shows greyed out.
