  1. I thought I'd update this thread from my perspective, since it is really weird behavior in my case. I tried basically anything of the suggestions from this thread except for a mac reinstall. In the end I left the metadata=stream in there and simply gave up but left the network folder in the TimeMachine Settings. It was always the behavior that the first backup would work but then no more. Several weeks later it magically started working and did a second backup. I checked version of mac and Unraid but neither of those had changed, so no explanation at all I could come up with. From there it worked for like 2 weeks without any issues, before stopping again for about 5 days. Just now for a reason I simply don't understand, it started a backup and seems to work flawlessly again even with the new mac version Ventura installed 3 days ago but not right after that update, so again seems unrelated. So at least for me, the metadata=stream is in there and helps but only kind of 😄 Still I would love to understand the issue. Was guessing maybe something to do with the connection speed to the NAS but it seems unrelated to anything from weak WIFI to 10Gbps LAN. That's my thoughts or updates on this. Would love to hear if anybody else experiences something similar.
  2. Thanks for the info, I'll also try it later today. What I find a bit weird is the setting for "enhanced Mac interoperability" (2:28), where it is set to "no" but still he can export the share as TimeMachine. For me I think I remember that the Time Machine option was never available when interoperability was set to no. Later in the video (11:22) it is activated however.
  3. Just to add another report to this... I am also experiencing this, exactly as described by others here: Last successful Time machine backup was the day before I upgraded to 6.10.3 from 6.9.2. I can add a new share and connect time machine to it, which then finishes its initial backup after which again it can not finish a single one anymore. This happens independently of the Mac OS version it seams. I tried all the mentioned ideas or workarounds here (except the downgrade) and none worked for me unfortunately. Actually the time machine backup of different machines is one of the two main reasons for having this unraid server so it would be really really appreciated if this bug got fixed! Thank you!
  4. Hi, I tried to find as much info as possible - in this thread and elsewhere. Howver, I'm still not entirely sure about unraid fan speed control for my setup: I'm using a Nimbustor 4 (Asustor as5304t) system with unraid for two days now and it is already so much better than the Asus software. But looking at the CPU and HDD/SSD temperatures, I feel like the fan should be spinning up a bit more from time to time (for example when running a virtual machine). However, it always stays at an almost quiet speed. So I wanted to try the dynamix plugin but can not select any fans. While the temperature sensors are working for the CPU and Mainboard: Intel digital thermal sensor... Success! (driver `coretemp') The one I'm assuming is for the fans: Found `ITE IT8625E Super IO Sensors' Success! (address 0x290, driver `to-be-written') doesn't seem to be available. Now, I found different sites with former github projects for this driver and so on but don't really get it and would really appreciate any help or advise. If driver installation is no option at all, are there any workarounds? Was for example thinking about somehow starting the original asus system (untouched on the emmc memory) in a VM and passing through that IT8625 device. But that might as well be a 100% stupid newbie idea 😄 Thanks!
