  1. @JorgeB, that looks to have worked. Waiting for your feedback: bitthurmzunraid-diagnostics-20250430-1624.zip When I attempted to upgrade UnRaid a year or so ago I ran into a similar issue with the cache drive being unrecognized and I had to roll back to v6.9.2. Could that have been the cause?
  2. Hello @JorgeB, that is correct. I would like to remove sdd.
  3. I find myself in a very similar situation as the gentleman in this post: Unraid Support Post I migrated my cache pool from a 240 GB SSD to a 1TB NVME and now have an unassigned 240 GB device that, when removed, renders the 1TB NVME unmountable with the following: "Cache pool BTRFS missing device(s)" I didn't go quite as far as the guy in the previous post, so I'm looking for guidance on next steps before I dig the hole any deeper. I'm wondering if I can just backup the cache pool files, delete the pool, recreate it, and restore the files? bitthurmzunraid-diagnostics-20250429-2008.zip
  4. You are correct, found this in the VM XML: <hostdev mode='subsystem' type='pci' managed='yes'> <driver name='vfio'/> <source> <address domain='0x0000' bus='0x05' slot='0x00' function='0x0'/> </source> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x08' function='0x0'/> </hostdev> Though the VM editor UI didn't show any indication of it, nor did the "Tools > System Settings": As I figured it was a simple fix, just took the right set of eyes and the right knowledge to see it. Thanks @JorgeB!
  5. tl:dr Unraid network interface crashing when VM running Morning All, hoping some of you smarter fellows can help me out. I feel like this should be an easy fix but not having much Google luck. UnRaid specifics: - 6.9.2 - Plugins: Community Applications / Fix Common Problems / NVidia Driver / Unassigned Devices - Docker: deepstack (AI for image analysis) - Network config in Unraid is set with bonding off, bridging on, IPV4 only. - Ethernet controller is not passed through - Diagnostics attached Hardware specifics: - Motherboard = ASRock AB350M Pro4 - CPU = RYZEN 7 1700 8-Core - Memory = Crucial Ballistix 3200 MHz DDR4 DRAM (32 GB) - Drives = 2x 8TB, 1x 8TB Parity, 1x 240 GB SSD cache - GPU = EVGA 970 GTX FTW VM specifics: - Win 10 Pro - 4 cores - 8GB Memory - No hardware passed through - XML attached - VM config: Network Bridge is set to "br0", Network Model is "virtio-net". Issue: I recently swapped my cache SSD sata drive for an M.2. Upon starting up the server I found there was no connectivity between the server and router. I don't know that the drive swapped caused the issue but likely exposed it when the server was rebooted. Server is set to dynamic; I have a static assignment setup on the router and found while the server was maintaining the IP (ifconfig), the subnet mask was pulling a /32 (255.255.255.255) instead of a /24 (255.255.255.0). After stopping docker & VM services and setting the IP to static on the server it cleared up the issue. Fast forward some troubleshooting with the router, I believe I've narrowed down the cause of the issue to the VM running. The service can be running but as soon as the VM is started (even before Windows boots) the network interface on the server becomes unreachable. Not thinking it's the Windows OS on the VM but poked around a bit anyway. Found a 2nd adapter that was pulling the same IP as the server, disabled that as well as the primary for good measure, no luck. The only way to get the interface back up and connected is to stop services and modify a setting in the network config. After applying everything is back to normal. Any and all help is appreciated. bitthurmzunraid-diagnostics-20220709-1130.zip VMBackup.7.9.2022.post.xml
  6. It's a start, Thanks @Vr2Io. Upon reviewing what UnRaid was detecting for installed memory I uncovered only 16 of the 32 GB of memory was available. Shortly after I realized I had inadvertently put the original 2x 8GB memory back into the server when testing and had removed the 32GB... I've replaced the memory once more and will be firing up the VM and BlueIris for another round of testing to see how long it will last.
  7. I've been running the Unraid trial for nearly 30 days and (4 days remaining) and as much as I'd love to move forward and commit to the build, I am experiencing some stability issues with a VM and am hoping someone can provide advice on where to look next. UnRaid specifics: - 6.9.2 - Plugins: Community Applications / Fix Common Problems / NVidia Driver / Unassigned Devices - Docker: deepstack (AI for image analysis) Hardware specifics: - Motherboard = ASRock AB350M Pro4 - CPU = RYZEN 7 1700 8-Core - Memory = Crucial Ballistix 3200 MHz DDR4 DRAM (32 GB) - Drives = 2x 8TB, 1x 8TB Parity, 1x 240 GB SSD cache - GPU = EVGA 970 GTX FTW Issue: The windows session locks up and ceases to be responsive both in VNC and in RDP. On the Unraid dashboard I can see 2 of the 4 cores pegged at 100% (not consistently the same CPU or quantity if CPUs). No Windows events exist from the time the VM locks up to the time it is restarted. The windows session hard crashes with no BSOD. After rebuilding the VM it appeared to be stable for 24 hrs. I then installed and configured BlueIris (NVR for security cameras) and let it sit another 36 hrs at which point it locked up. I have ceased the BlueIris service and am letting it sit for another 24 hrs or so before starting them back up to narrow down on a possible cause. Steps taken to troubleshoot: - Disabled "AMD Cool'n Quiet" and/or C-State - Updated BIOS to most current release that supports my CPU - Rebuilt the VM from scratch following SpaceInvaderOne's youtube tutorial for Windows 10 (minus the antispyware and dirlinker) with minimal apps installed - Upgrade & Replaced memory - Have looked into issues with Ryzen CPUs and UnRaid but they mostly seem to be related to C-State - Have tried different variations of CPU pinning. -- Currently the VM has 4 CPUs pinned and Isolated -- Have also tried with no pinning and no isolation VM specifics: - Win 10 Pro - 4 cores - 8GB Memory - No hardware passed through - XML attached Attached are the diagnostics from the day of the last crash (today) Any help is appreciated as I would love to wrap this up and make a decision in the next 4 days. Thanks! Baseline_forDiag.xml diagnostics-20211221-1851.zip
