[6.12.6] Odd Behaviour When Moving Files on Cache to Different Shares
Appreciate the answer, I'm still reading into ZFS and how best to leverage it on my server. Snapshot for datasets is quite appealing already. This is no by means a dealbreaker, BTRFS was okay but is no where near as robust as I'd like.

[6.12.6] Odd Behaviour When Moving Files on Cache to Different Shares
Hey all, haven't posted in a good long while so if I miss any details please let me know. I moved from 6.11.5 to 6.12.6 a few weeks ago with no real issues, the first thing did was convert my cache SSD from BTRFS to ZFS as I've already had one file system corruption and would like to avoid another. It went smoothly and things run more or less the same except I've noticed some odd behaviour when moving files from one place to another while still on the cache. So for background what I'll usually do is once qBittorrent downloads a file to my "Downloads" share I'll move the file (cut + paste) to the share where it will live and on 6.11.5 the move was instant but now I'm finding it will process the entire file as if it was a copy + paste job, the cache reads and writes go up and the used space fluctuates up and down during the 'move'. I should also preface I'm moving the files within a rootshare managed by Unassigned Devices plugin and access the rootshare from my Windows 11 PC via SMB, and all the shares in question use cache as primary storage for new files and array for secondary. If it's only a few files its not a big deal but I'm a bit worried about excess SSD wear, I figure it's either a 6.12.6, ZFS or unassigned devices plugin issue but I haven't been able to find anything on it. I'll post a snip of what it looks like during the move below. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

unassigned devices rootshare issue
Started having the exact same issue today. Rootshare is mounted by the unassigned devices plugin.

Same issue with me, will post in Linguafoeda's thread on Github to let them know
