  1. Hello there, Like mentioned in the recent unraid podcast, I am wondering if the SMB Multichannel is enabled in this release candidate. If so, second question, I have two servers both with bonded network connections (802.3ad), is it recommended to keep bonded to use multichannel, or remove? Cheers, -jj-
  2. To use the plex version of SQLITE3 is mentioned here - it worked fine from the container console via Unraid webgui here (remember to kill the running plex task):- https://forums.plex.tv/t/hoping-for-help-with-db-corruption/701344 Cheers, -jj-
  3. It works perfectly now, thank you!!!! Cheers, -jj-
  4. Today's log is attached. I do have the reserved space set at 512 Mb, so you can see it's misreading the free space and attempting to copy onto drives that it should not in some cases. Thanks a lot and let me know if you need anything else! Cheers, -jj- unbalance.log
  5. In addition to the error with coming to the webpage, the plugin seems totally broken on 6.5.2 from calculating files sizes here. I have twenty drives in the array and where I was expecting to move some 60gb over three drives, it was attempting to move 475gb over 15 drives with optimised space showing as "EB" measurement which I have never seen before. Please let me know what if anything I should provide for debugging purposes or if anyone has tips to fix :). Cheers, -jj-
  6. There is a slightly newer version (from April 2011) on the slackware server now:- PACKAGE_NAME mc (Midnight Commander file manager - version 4.7.5.2 ) PACKAGE_DESCR The <b>Midnight Commander</b> is a Norton Commander clone, a program that PACKAGE_DESCR manipulates and manages files and directories. Useful, fast, and has PACKAGE_DESCR color displays on the Linux console. Mouse support is provided PACKAGE_DESCR through the gpm mouse server. This is a lightweight compilation of PACKAGE_DESCR mc for use on the text console or in an xterm. PACKAGE_DESCR <br><br>mc was written by Miguel de Icaza and Mauricio Plaza. 7. Rolling back both mounted servers to Beta 9 seems to have fixed the issues (same problem with Beta 10). Cheers, -jj-
  8. Just as a further update here, the WD drives seemed to read ok, but would error out upon any writes attempted. I bought 2 x Hitachi_HDS723030ALA640 3TB drives to test and these are working perfectly fine. Assume some compatibility issues with the WD drives at present (using Supermicro RAID card, and motherboard SATA's). I will keep the drives on the side in case further testing needed at some point. Cheers, -jj-
  9. Seem to be having some strange issues with Beta 11 re: NFS shares. All three of my UNRaid servers are linked via NFS mounts in the first server share directory, like so: mount -t nfs 192.168.1.58:/mnt/user/Share /mnt/user/Share/unraid2 mount -t nfs 192.168.1.44:/mnt/user/Share /mnt/user/Share/unraid3 So that YAMJ can process all of the three server movie files together. Previously with 4.7, whenever I changed anything on server 2, or server 3, I unmounted the NFS shares, and remounted, which worked perfectly well. I noticed some strange errors (Stale NFS File Handles) today in the YAMJ output and looking at the third server via Windows, it seemed to have access denied errors, when trying to enter NFS mount/movies/art, or NFS mount/movies/nfo directories. Looking at the syslog for the machine where the mounts are located, I see the following errors, repeated multiple times. Aug 20 14:22:04 Tower kernel: NFS: server 192.168.1.58 error: fileid changed Aug 20 14:22:04 Tower kernel: fsid 0:e: expected fileid 0xb00000f5, got 0xffffffffb00000f5 Aug 20 14:23:19 Tower kernel: NFS: server 192.168.1.44 error: fileid changed Aug 20 14:23:19 Tower kernel: fsid 0:f: expected fileid 0xa0000006, got 0xffffffffa0000006 etc etc Is that something I need to set up different with v5.0, or a bug? Note all three machines are running 5.0 B11. Cheers, -jj-
  10. Hello there, thanks very much for the reply. Have since updated one of my servers to 0.5b10 and same issue there. Have tried multiple ports for the drive (Supermicro 24 disk case). 11. Updated from a working 4.7 array to 5.0b10 on a friend's test server, with the intent to test out the new 3TB support. New parity drive was detected fine as 3TB, and when starting the array, the option was given to upgrade parity from 2TB to 3TB. When starting the upgrade process, it worked for a couple of minutes and errored out. See attached syslog. Tried swapping the parity from the MB SATA to one of the Supermicro AOC PCIE cards, but no joy either. MB is an ASUS P5Q Deluxe. Edit: drive is an WD30EZRX 3TB. Any ideas? Cheers, -jj- syslog-2011-08-06.zip
  12. +1, support for 24 drives would be nice. Cheers, -jj-
  13. If you're keeping the original disks and just using the server as a file dump, then re-encoding should be fine, as you can re-visit the disks if you upgrade the display and audio setup later. I consider a full remux of just the main movie to .TS (with HD-audio) as at least future proof and saving average probably 30%-40% on keeping the full disk. Cheers, -jj-

  15. Yes, the 4.5.6 release is working fine here for 80TB of storage (across 2 servers linked together with NFS). I think that much is worth the subscription alone. The Unmenu system and the helpful folks on the forum are a great optional and free of charge extra :-) The lack of "official" support is somewhat concerning but as mentioned the current system is fine for my current needs (movie server). Cheers, -jj-

  17. Hi Joe, The above fix seems to have worked perfectly fine for stopping that driver spam (I have two cards, so it was rather annoying)... thanks! :-) Another quick question - I'm guessing UNMENU is working fine with the 5.0 beta 1 build? I was extremely wary to try it, as I'm using UNMENU on a daily basis and wouldn't like to lose that functionality. Cheers, -jj-
  18. FYI, the "official" CBL-0097L-02 are the correct Supermicro cables for AOC-SASLP-MV8 (1 x) SAS to (4 x) SATA. I had exactly the same issue going from (1 x) SAS backplane to (4 x) SATA card (AOC-SAT2-MV8), in which case CBL-0116L was needed. Cheers, -jj-
  19. Thanks very much it works perfectly! I wrote a small Unmenu package to re-install it upon reboot. Unfortunately, the version number in that compile is reporting as "unknown" but otherwise it works fine. 20. Sorry to bump an old thread. I noticed that the version of Midnight Commander built into Unraid is quite old (from 2007). Is there a way to update to the latest stable version? It seems only source code is posted on the MC commander site. Would anyone be able to help me with instructions on compilation? Downloading and installing the .TGZ file I'm comfortable with but can get no further :-) Cheers, -jj-
  21. You're right it CAN handle HD audio. But does it handle a remuxed file ok? I was under the impression such players are difficult to use with homebrewn files to prevent piracy. Yes, you can easily select the HD-audio and core, it says that in the guide I linked ;-) MPC-HC (and Haali splitter) will pass the DTS core fine from a DTS-HD file, without the need to mux two audio streams. I'm unsure on TrueHD. Cheers, -jj-
  22. Someone with more experience with HTPC playback would need to comment really. I know a lot of people using HTPC are converting to MKV+FLAC for playback via MPC-HC. Most people wanting to remux untouched audio and video would be using a media player such as PCH C-200 or HDI DUNE. I think the problem with playback using PowerDVD or TMT is they don't like these homebrewn files much. Personally, I'm using a PCH C-200 here in combination with UNRAID. Cheers, -jj-
  23. You can try the guide here: http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/index.php/Remux_Blu-ray_HD_DVD_Main_Movie_for_Playback Then let us know if any further questions. Cheers, -jj-
  24. BD Rebuilder does not keep a 100% copy (ie, it's re-encoding the stuff and reducing the quality). With the newer media players (Dune 3.0 / PCH C-200), playing the full untouched disk is fine with UNRAID. Cheers, -jj-
  25. Hi Joe, For my first post, it's a thank you for your great unmenu addon (and also to the other chap who contributed the MyMain addon). As a predominantly Windows user for the last 10 years, it's made a great improvement to my Unraid experience - the less command line I need to learn, the better :-) Cheers, -jj-
