  1. Thanks @Frank1940, the server is my only machine so I can not run a chkdsk in a separate machine. Is there any possibility to check this array stopped flag within the boot drive?
  2. Hi, I believe so, I checked time outs and as a final test I stop the array before shutdown the server. Even with this, having all VM, dockers and terminals stopped is starting the parity check. Is there any specific string I should find in the logs? thanks in advance
  3. Dear all, Since a few weeks I am experiencing a parity check each reboot, I did some tests based in other posts like stopping the array before restarting, or increase the timeout of the shutdown, but unfortunately it did not work. I attach my diagnostics file and hopefully someone will be able to point me to the good direction. Thanks in advance, tuxz440-diagnostics-20220417-0755.zip
  4. Ahh I see. Maybe renaming the VM, I did not try. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Yes, you can. Just start over selecting a different version. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Bad time to buy GPU cards, maybe hold a bit longer.
  7. Hi all, I am a beginner with unraid and I need your advise to have the best configuration for my array and cache. My goal is to have an unraid to serve me with some VMs , some dockers and a replacement of my current Synology Nas. Mainly I would like to know how configurare the array with the following resources: * A ASUS Hyper M.2 X16 Card V2 with 4 SSD 1 TB * A pcie ssd 256 GB * 4 Disks wd red pro 4 TB I doubt what configuration will give me the best result. My first idea is to have the 3 hdd in the array, 1 hdd as parity and the 256 ssd GB as cache. But not idea how to get the best of the 4 SSDs of 1 Tb. Looking forward to hearing your ideas.
  8. @ghost, @Exlife. Well, It looks between your help and some tests I finally made it work. FInally I copied from my Windows VM the piece of the USB PCIe directly to my MAC VM XML and plugged the mouse and keyboard there. And it worked great both in Big Sur and Monterey. I copied below fully my XML if it could help someone and a couple of screenshots. Btw, the USB pcie used is around 30 Eur in amazon. <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?> <domain type='kvm' xmlns:qemu='http://libvirt.org/schemas/domain/qemu/1.0'> <name>Macinabox Monterey</name> 9. Big Sur as well, but I have Monterey installed as well and same issue GPU works but not the USB.
  10. Congratulations, I guess you will keep looking to find a final solution, right? I will try harder tonight with the USB Manager Hotplug to see if I missed something. regards
  11. @ghost, @Exlife. I tried the several proposals with the following unlucky results: * Using USB Manager Hotplug with the VM up and running does not work, although it says that the USB Mouse was successfully plugged, it does not move. * I tried to add just the following piece of code for my USB mouse having a different error in the screen: <hostdev mode='subsystem' type='usb' managed='no'> <source> <vendor id='0x1532'/> <product id='0x0040'/> </source> <address type='usb' bus='0' port='2'/> </hostdev> This is the new error: * I tried as well to add the bottom part of the @ghost xml adding my oskey having the same result that above. Looking forward to hearing new ideas Thanks in advance,
  12. Good idea, I was using it on my windows vm but I did not try with the Mac one. I will let you know later today my results.
  13. Thanks for the suggestion. I did the test with an usb pcie card that works fine in another windows vm with the same results. I will try to compare the xml configurations and see what changes after adding the usb later today.
  14. Thanks, in fact I did. Great post btw. But my issue was that I was activating the GPU and the Keyboard/mouse USB at the same time. Now I retried just with the GPU and it works fine. But I don’t know why a normal usb keyboard blocks the boot
  15. Well, thanks to your post I re-started the process. But this time I did not activate any USB and just the GPU. In fact, now the GPU works and I can see the boot menu to select the disk but as I don’t have keyboard or mouse I can not move forward. If I try to add either the USB or a USB pcie card, then I just get the black screen. I will keep you posted if I find the reason.
  16. Did you have to do anything special to get the passthrought videocard rx 570 working ? I am blocked with the pro wx 5100z
  17. Hi all, First at all, thanks for macinabox, it is just owesome. I hope someone could help me, I am completely blocked how to get my AMD Radeon Pro WX 5100 working on my MacOS Monterey VM. If I select the graphics on VNC, the VM works perfectly. However, when I select a dedicated GPU (AMD Radeon PRO WX 5100) I get blocked in the TIANO CORE (Start PXE over IPv4). Mayme mention that the GPU works fine with a Debian VM. I paste my xml and looking forward to getting some help here.
