  1. I recently rebuilt my Unraid box in a Rosewill 12-bay hot swap rack mount case. Replaced motherboard, processor, added more RAM, added mirror parity and mirror cache and array. It seems that about every 4 or so days I go to login and end up having to restart the server (which of course starts the parity sync all over on a pair of 6 TB drives). Where can I look to find historical logs as to what the issue possible could be? I am still using the same USB stick from the last 4+ yrs - should that be the first thing I replace and migrate my activation key? If so - what is a good recommended brand/size? Thank you in advance.
  2. After a recent update (currently running version 6.9.11-4), I went to confirm pending configuration changes - and it never successfully completes. I have tried a few things I found in the forums (resetting the salt), and that did not work. Any words of wisdom? Thank you Current services; Docker, FlashMemory, MiniDLNA, NFS, SMB/CIFS and SSH. Pending configuration changes You must apply these changes in order for them to take effect. The following modules will be updated: avahi collectd fstab monit quota remotemount rsync sharedfolders systemd task
  3. Please ignore my post above - I am silly. I realized I had not actually setup any specific NFS shares on the OMV box as we access everything via SMB/CIFS from our home network - and I assumed (there is that word again) that UD would find the generically base shares - once I realized my mistake - I created specific NFS shares and is good now. Apologies for the wasted bandwidth.
  4. Rebuilt my UnRaid box (6.12.6) to make it bigger and stronger (heftier CPU, 64 gb ram, dual drive cache, dual nvme drive pool, and 10 drive array). Wanting to transition it as my main NAS now instead of the backup. I wish to create drive mappings from UnRaid to my OMV (Open Media Vault) NAS to set up rsync between the 2. If I start the wizard to add a remote NFS share within UD Plus - it finds the OMV server, but when I try to scan for shares - or add them manually, I get nothing. It says it may be a permission error, but no where am I prompted for any credentials. Am I just being obtuse and missing some obvious step? TIA
  5. Thank you. I thought that might be the case - but wanted to double check. This is a backup NAS for my primary NAS - so I will not lose anything - rsync will do its nightly run and it will just take awhile to replace any missing files.
  6. Running UnRaid 6.12.6 with 6 drives and no parity disk - all 4TB WD Red. Drive 2 has started to fail and I want to replace it with a new 6TB WD Red drive. I stopped array, put drive 2 into "no device" powered down unplugged 4TB drive Plugged in 6 TB drive Powered back on Go to drive 2 and selected 6TB drive. At this point I am stuck - as there is no option to accept this change and start the array. The Array devices list shows 8 disks - but the MB can only handle 6 - so there are NOT 2 unassigned disks. Nor can I change the slots drop down to 6 (the lowest it goes is Any thoughts? Thank you in advance.
  7. Had some issues and had to reformat my boot USB and purchase a new license (could not find my old license file). I ran the USB creator software and booted from USB and am able to get into the GUI from my computer on the same network. I have tried setting the IP via DHCP but all it does is put an APIPA address (169.254...) - all other devices on our network pull DHCP just fine. I reformatted the USB and configured static IP - I can access the Web GUi from multiple devices on our internal network - - but I cannot get the Unraid box to talk to the outside (I have verified all IP settings). My router/firewall is a Ubiquiti UDM Pro and my over 50 clients have no issues what-so-ever. Any thoughts as to what to check? I cannot get it to reach out for the registration file using the link provided by Unraid. Thank you
