  1. I'm working on reconfiguring my network and simplifying my internal systems. I've moved away from multiple multi terabyte servers doing different things and now I'm switching to a more centralized network mentality with hopefully less downtime and easier data management. To put that plainly, my main service provider server running unRaid is NVMe based and is optimized for speed over storage space. I still want to run Jellyfin on my unRaid server since it's cpu is much faster at encoding. I've mounted the SMB share that has all my movies and TV shows in unRaid and I've pointed the Docker container at that directory as it's source; it shows up properly and I know the user account I'm using to access the share on the other NAS has read/write permissions. When I go to actually scan the libraries, it is empty. Is this a limitation of Jellyfin or unRaid or somthing else? Edit: I figured it out, my Docker container was corrupted when I migrated to the new platform.
  2. I found the issue in another post, it's a known bug in 6.11.1 where the syntax is wrong when the tunnel is created.
  3. UPDATE: Hello all, I just spun up a new install of unraid and I went to create a Wireguard tunnel to replace my old tunnel but it won't let me flip the switch to activate tunnel wg0. Is it because of the trial or is it because another inane reason? My port forward settings are correct afaik. Any advice is welcome. I'm able to activate the tunnel when there are no peers added to it, but as soon as I add a peer it shuts down and won't turn back on until I delete the peer, wtf is going on?
  4. I was aware of the potential fire issues with cheap molded power connectors so I made sure to buy high quality connectors that were post-mold clamp style so that shouldn't be an issue.
  5. I was reading that bad molex cables could short out and cause issues. Is it just about getting quality adapters?
  6. It's split 1 -> 2, 1 -> 3, 1 -> 3 (one sata connector broke). I think you're right, that it's a power issue; I'll look into getting a higher wattage psu with more sata connections. Ever since I set my parity check to monthly, my server hasn't crashed. I also just moved last weej to an older apartment and my server is temporarily plugged into the wall instead of my UPS. There's a solid chance that the power out of wall is dirty bc of older wiring and previously my server was just on the edge of stability on good power out of my UPS; but now with dirty power from the wall it's now no longer stable at full load/during parity.
  7. Now that you mention it, I am running a slightly older 500W Gold Rosewill PSU. it only has 4 sata power on a single power rail, that I'm breaking up into 8 for my drives.
  8. I'm new-ish to unRAID, so I thought parity check is what protected the data, that makes a lot more sense. This just means I've been putting a lot more stress on my parity drives than needed so thanks for the info. I'll run memtest tomorrow. Do you think it's a memory issue?
  9. For the past month or so my server has not been online for more than a day or so. I know it crashes nearly everyday about when my parity check auto starts since some of the logs I could recover all stopped at about 00:30, when my parity starts. I always notice after work when my backup client (a windows machine under my desk running Duplicati) fails to run my preconfigured backup routines. I'll attach my most recent diagnostics from immediately after my last reboot, can anyone see what might be causing it? I've already removed several plugins that I'm not using, and docker containers that I stopped using too. The reason I'm not using the Docker version of Duplicati is bc it pegs my server CPU at 100% and also causes a hard crash, but that ended up being a HDD IO error at the target location, but now I have a discrete client handling it anyway. 10. JK, it worked, thanks so much.
  11. I know where the 'Delete the Docker Image' check box is, and I tried that, but it didn't seem to work, should I navigate to the actual directory and delete it manually?
  12. Okay so I deleted an empty share and suddenly all my shares just vanished and I can't even create new ones. I have the diagnostic file from immediately after everything disappeared. On another note, I was also trying to get my docker working bc it failed to start even after a reboot. Since the shares vanished (like all of them) I havent rebooted but now I have no idea what to do. I'll include the diagnostic file, if someone can alos point me towards the right place to upload it, I would appreciate it too. Edit, I think I can see what I believe are the shares in the diagnostic file (I'm new to UnRaid) so I have no clue why they would vanish. Should I restart my server? Edit 2, I decided to reboot my server, and the shares showed back up, now I just need to get my Docker running again. skysword-diagnostics-20220328-1110.zip
