Thanks for pointing this out and doing the trial/error testing. Mounting the share directly to your cache like "mnt/cache/appdata/steamheadless" instead of "mnt/user/appdata/steamheadless" removes the steam webhelper crashes. You should also be able to put this on a dedicated disk that's not currently assigned to the array or cache pool, which is probably better practice anyway unless your cache is huge.
