  1. Space Invader is a great start. I've been on unRaid since 2011 and still watch all his videos for help and ideas.

    Few suggestions from my opinions.

I believe couchpotato is depreciated or being depreciated. I may be wrong though. I would look into SABNZBD for a downloader. Then build out with the ARR's.

When starting out, pick a developer and try and stick with them. I mainly use Linuxserver images but binhex and ich777 are great too. Running stuff from all of them. Sticking with one greatly improves multiple dockers having cross compatibility out the box with less or zero changes.

Your main question you're asking for help with, as you said, isn't really explainable with a few replies.

Lay your groundwork first, get your server/array setup like you want. Get you share(s) setup like you want. Get your plug-ins installed that you want/need.

I'll DM you a few questions and answers but I don't want that to stop other from helping you on this thread.

Spoke too soon. It's now apparently:

    sudo u- abc php /app/www/public/occ db:add-missing-indices

Bruh!, OMG! Thank you so much. I have been trying to get this cleared up without bothering anyone for a while now. I knew it had worked before the other way. That's how I had in my notes. Works like a charm with the correct path.

@Wolfhunter1043 Caught the "u-" typo too but thanks for the post.

  3. Been running "latest" for as long as I can remember. I woke up this morning to a bunch of "unable to start server: sqlite3..........." errors. An appdata restore didn't resolve anything. But changing "latest" to the previous release "1.32.0.6950-8521b7d99-ls163" resolves the database corruption and Plex works fine. Anyone els having issues with "1.32.0.6973-a787c5a8e-ls164"?

  4. I know the NZB integration is new but I have a red dot on my Plex and NZB services. I have tried IP, Proxy URL, localhost. I can't get a green dot on either. My other 8 services work fine. And click-thru works as expected.

Although I can see what NZB is downloading at the bottom, I still get the message that there is no download service setup.

Sorry for hijacking this thread, but what's the benefit of splitting the Plex appdata from the general Appdata folder?

For myself and my friend, we generate thumbnails which gets rather large as your library grows. That's the main reason. Plex can have a 1TB pool for itself.

If I exclude my plex app data from my CA Backup I drop from 510Gb to about 27Gb with ~30 dockers. I now exclude three sub folders in my plex app data to basically obtain the same results but it's still in it's own pool now.

I also moved my nextCloud data folder to the new pool so it's served from a never spun down SSD and somewhat protected with the pool's RAID. I then syncthing my nextCloud folder to my friends server and he does the same to mine for an offsite. (send only/receive only setup)

  6. Tried searching but can't find the answer I'm looking for.

Managing a friends server and he has his Plex appdata in a separate pool by itself. Was wondering if CA Backup would grab his Cache and plexCache simultaneously or what is the best way to accomplish this? Can "appdata source" be comma separated for multiple locations?

  7. [SOLVED] - changed 'user' to 'cache'. Went from 480GB to 58GB.

I have these three paths in my excluded field, yet I don't think they are being excluded. Can anyone see a typo or a problem.

They are end to end, comma separated, and no space after the comma. I only word wrapped them for this post.

    /mnt/user/appdata/Plex/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Cache,
    /mnt/user/appdata/Plex/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Media,
    /mnt/user/appdata/Plex/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Metadata

EDIT: I need a / at the end of each path, don't I?

    EDIT 2: Nope, no change.

[SOLVED] - changed 'user' to 'cache'. Went from 480GB to 58GB.

  8. EDIT SOLVED = Deleting "network.cfg and network-rules.cfg at the same time and rebooting resolved this.

I installed a Mellanox ConectX-3 10Gb NIC and it works fine to my UniFi Agg switch. My MoBo already has two 1Gb eth ports. I am trying to assign the new card NIC as eth0 but it is not in the dropdown menu as an option under interface rules. I can only see the two 1Gb ports. I have read about 50 post with similar questions but none of their solutions helped me.

    • I have tried to delete the contents of "network-rules.cfg" and reboot
    • I have tried switching back to a 1Gb port in hopes of "freeing up" the 10Gb NIC.
    • I have set all three ports to different subnets in case that was an issue.
    • And attached diagnostics in case someone can help.
    • I have tried running:
    ifconfig -s -a

    and I get:

EDIT SOLVED = Deleting "network.cfg and network-rules.cfg at the same time and rebooting resolved this.

  9. I tried out 6.10 RC2 this morning and noticed my Plex wasn't started after reboot. It gives me an error "docker: Error response from daemon: Unknown runtime specified nvidia".

If I delete the line "--runtime=nvidia" from extra parameters Plex can start OK albeit without HW transcoding. I tried manually typing it in to avoid invisible spaces being placed. Doesn't fix it.

After a few failed attempts at google resolutions. I decided to downgrade back to 6.9.2 and the issue is still persisting.

    Any suggestions?

  10. No matter how many times I changed it or what DNS I changed it to all my WANs, LANs, or VLAN,s would not work work properly.

I must of had a DNS corruption hosed up in a switch. The only thing that fixed this was rebooting my entire network rack.

I thought it was my unRaid box related because only a few dockers were really showing issues.

  11. Everything has been fine for years. I saw my "my servers" was disconnected. So I logged out and signed back in. I then noticed it had an update. Did the update. Went to the settings page and hit "Provision" and "update DNS". I believe it was at this point something broke.

My NZB no longer can resolve any of my news servers. It has a log full of connection refused. Plex can't resolve remote access correctly. Won't show all my home users. Can't log in via plex.tv. Apps sometimes work.

    Things I've tried:

    Remove "Myservers plugin (reboot)

Delete SSH and SSL folder contents on Flash (reboot)

Tried 'No, Yes, and Auto' use SSL/TLS (reboots between each)

Replace 'config' folder on Flash from backup. (reboot)

Delete network.conf file and start over (reboot)

Move from piHole-Dat-Doh to basic piHole

    Disable piHoles

Change all DNS on network equipment and unRaid to Google DNS instead of piHoles. Also did Cloudflare.

There is something hung up somewhere and I can't pinpoint it. I can't ping some things from the unRaid console. I am usually OK about isolating issues by just searching but I am at a lost. I've waited 24 hours before posting to let things propagate and leases to expire/renew.

    Thanks for any help.

For now you are able to schedule Unmanic with docker and cron. I believe there are a few people in this thread that have done that by creating multiple Unmanic containers and a user script that starts and stops the containers at certain times during the day.

@Yekul I did just that before GPU help was added. I tailored unManic to run around my peak Plex usage times. I don't want to insult your intelligence if you already know how but I will paste what I did here for others.

I created two user scripts entries for "Start unManic" and "Stop unManic". You can create 'one' script but I don't like a script pending in the background. Probably doesn't hurt anything but why do it that way. IMO. I hated that there is a possibility that it has a chance of killing it when I file is almost finished converting. But you get over that quick. It is so quick with a GPU, it doesn't matter anymore.  Messing with a 90% done CPU transcode hurt my pride a little.

    Start

    #!/bin/bash
    #Start Docker
    docker start unmanic

    and

    Stop

    #!/bin/bash
    #Start Docker
    docker stop unmanic

I know cron but use corntab to generate them only because it displays the schedule in english so I know it's correct and I don't screw up.

HI I Need help please, unmanic just isnt working how it used to , im on latest unraid OS 6.9 and tried with 2 NVIDIA GPUs get same results. I also keep losing access to web UI, its really weird as ive not had any problems like this before

Deleted cleared data several times and retired installing to no avail, logs below,

Your symptoms sound close to mine. I was trying staging and my RAM and CPU would max out about 15% into the first transcode. I would lose web UI response for a bit and it would come back but be stuck on the same current transcode not doing anything. I went back to 0.0.1 and been running fine that way. Josh.5 thinks it may be related to Audio transcode. I tried disabling that while on staging but still had the same issue. I don't know anything about the backend of this so I am at his mercy. I love the work Josh is doing on unManic but I am perfectly happy on 0.0.1 for the time being. He'll get it. He's done nothing but improve it since its birth.

I'm not sure what "TB" is sorry.

I will look through your stuff today. Hopefully we find a smoking gun. I really suspect it is the audio transcoding changes in February. They are pretty big changes to how the app ran last year. Adding support for people who only want to modify the audio in their container even when the video codec is already correct.

TB = TeraBytes. I'm Cajun and you're Kiwi, it gets lost in translation. LOL

I had stopped unManic sometime late January early February when I first saw the issue I'm having. So nothing was being converted to HEVC.

Since I cranked up unManic again since you provided the 0.0.1 branch to me, I've shaved off 2.8 TB's.

    No rush, enjoy the weekend.

A fast-forward to latest or staging branch from 0.0.1 should work fine without needing to reset.

Could you please switch to latest without wiping appdata (just back it up) and then let me know if you start having those issues again?

If you are still having issues, I can create a branch just for you to test that we can remove commits until we discover what one is causing problems.

So I tokk a copy of my appData, then changed ":0.0.1" to ":staging" and started unManic. I left HW Decoding unchecked. I also notice the scan takes a bit longer that 0.0.1 to populate a list. It does grab a file right off the bat though.

This time the file got to about 15%, CPU pegged out on dashboard and I lost GUI.

Let it stay active for a bit then stopped unManic. Took another copy of appData.

Went back to 0.0.1 and its happy again. I will PM you nextCloud links to the appData files. Debugging made them too big to add here.

Also, you had asked in a PM for the file that was failing. I restarted unManic multiple times in the past with :staging, which grabbed various files and they all did the same thing. It wasn't just one. Some of those files just went through with :0.0.1.

Thanks for all your work @Josh.5, I know we'll (you) get it. This is my favorite docker. It is so satisfying to see TB's fall off.

Is anyone currently on staging that could provide feedback? I would love to find someone who can help test the staging branch for a week before I merge it into master.

I’ll give it another shot for you tonight.

Ive been running 0.1.0 repository and it’s been blowing through my files. Chopped off about 2TB since you gave me that repository a couple days ago.

This time I’ll wipe out my appdata again and try from scratch.

Do you want my current logs before I switch to compare to what I sent you last time? I believe I turned on debugging.
