  1. I updated to RC8 today and my NVIDIA Quadro P2000 is no longer showing in the NVIDIA app.

Tried to restart a few times and no change.

I see its still shown but NVIDIA app no longer shows it:

Is there something that needs to be done/reset for it to show back?

Roll back to RC7 and its back and I can see my Installed GPU

*EDIT* Did another upgrade and this time was successful... weird

Here's the problem.  As soon as we publish a release with Nvidia/AMD GPU drivers installed, any existing VM which uses GPU pass through of an Nvidia or AMD GPU may stop working.  Users must use the new functionality of the Tools/System Devices page to select GPU devices to "hide" from Linux kernel upon boot - this prevents the kernel from installing the driver(s) and initializing the card.

Since there are far more people passing through GPU vs using GPU for transcoding in a Docker container, we thought it would be polite to give those people an opportunity to prepare first in 6.9 release, and then we would add the GPU drivers to the 6.10 release.  We can make 6.10 a "mini release" which has just the GPU drivers.  Anyway, this is our current plan.

    Look about 10 posts up.

Yeah I get that. You're going to have to make a cut off at some point. I guess the results will be the same if you do it at 6.9 or 6.10. You're going to have to tell people and just do it. What about releasing dual builds at the same time, one with and one without at least for now RC releases and 6.9 final? Reason I'm saying it is I am about to rebuild my server so would need to run the linuxserver plugin version, and I'd rather stick to official releases even if it is a RC.

In all honesty its just me being selfish as I want to rebuild soon :D

  3. Ok I have a few questions if I may.

    1) The NVIDIA drivers to be included, will that be included in the final release of 6.9 or a RC version before 6.9 final? Or after 6.9 comes out?

    2) With the pools and future 7 release or whenever when we will have multiple pools for data can we pool the pools together?

So like have 2 pools, with 4 parity drives (2 each pool) and then have increased read/write speed to the mechanical HDD's?

  4. Hey guys, been away awhile as I wanted ZFS.

I saw in the release notes it speaks about pools.

Does this mean that you can pool drives to make like 2 or 3 pools so that you get better throughput when transferring data? Or doing massive uploads that are larger than cache?

Just wondering if there is a bit more info on this part?

Sorry I havent read all 5 pages.

You can avoid the issues on any release if you have SSD cache drive(s).  Storing the appdata share on an SSD cache drive seems to have prevented the SQLite problems even with the 6.7.x releases.  I have run Plex and other apps with SQLite databases for years across all releases and have never had a corrupt SQLite database.

If your addsata share is on spinning disk(s) on the array, you'll want to use either the 6.6.7 or 6.8.0-rc releases.  Avoid 6.7.x in this case

That makes sense and why I never had any corruption myself previously as my cache and appdata was on SSD's :)

I thought it was affecting everyone

  6. I have the exact same errors going mental in my logs.

    Jan 23 02:06:06 Loki kernel: btrfs_dev_stat_print_on_error: 37 callbacks suppressed
    Jan 23 02:06:06 Loki kernel: BTRFS error (device md4): bdev /dev/md4 errs: wr 0, rd 284, flush 0, corrupt 0, gen 0

    Jan 23 02:06:07 Loki kernel: BTRFS error (device md4): bdev /dev/md4 errs: wr 0, rd 286, flush 0, corrupt 0, gen 0

    Diagnostics attached too
