I moved all data off my nvme onto array then added two new nvme as cache drives, ran new config and all started fine. So machine just started to rebuild parity should I let it run or cancel

Hi currently have a 1 Tb nvme as appdata and vm ( only one home assistant) and cache, and I wanted to move this drive over to a download drive and get a pair of new nvme drives as appdata drives. So if that sounds okay what size is recommended as atm the existing drive sits at 60Gb out of the 1Tb ? thanks

Hi I have a ssd that I would like to remove and replace with a nvme, currently the drives are as shown, would there be any problems if I change ssd to say nvme 1 and change the shares to such ? Thanks

update i had 60gb in my ssd in a share called downloads and despite trying it would not start, so manually moved these files onto the array but still showed as 60gb in the ssd clicked mover and it started right away and emptied the ssd

so i was upgrading my parity drive and stupidly wiped the existing parity drive and added it to the array then discovered the new parity drive was faulty. so i have been running for the last couple of days with no parity, till i get the rma returned. will i have any problems preclearing the new drive then adding it to parity ( no other parity drives installed) ? broxi-diagnostics-20230614-1642.zip

So delivery update new drive is due today now so looking to replace my current parity drive with it, all my drives came out of my truenas set up and were tested but this will be my first new drive for unraid so hopefully someone can help on what to do to swap parity drives

Hi sorry for another question but I just upgraded from an A10-6700 to an i5-1300 and was under the assumption that my system would run quicker, but running parity rebuild it doesn’t seem so the cpu cores are hardly moving, explain please ? Thanks

Thanks for the help, old array drive cleared and removed but can I ask I is it okay to just run with a missing disk in the array as shown, I will be taking the parity disk and replacing with a new disk and adding the existing parity disk to the array ?

Hi I am currently clearing a drive from the array that I wish to remove completely, I also want to upgrade my parity drive with a larger drive and place the existing parity drive in place of the removed array drive. Any help on this please ? Thanks
