No, not using IPVLAN. Although the suggestion is appreciated, thanks @hawgorn Actually just came back to this thread today to inform anyone from the future that I did manage to resolve this for me. Essentially the solution for me was that I moved house and got a new ISP. New connection, new IP. Not sure what change actually fixed it but I had wireguard up and running in 5 minutes :). I suspect that my previous ISP was blocking it in someway? Anyways, that may be your issue too.

Hello all!! So recently I have been battling to get Wireguard VPN working. About 12 months ago I had wireguard setup and working well. My setup was a basic remote tunnel, using DuckDNS like this JuanMTech tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIJiYuPDzKs At the time I used it for remote access to HomeAssistant (This time I might like to access some data remotely also). However, sometime in the past 12 months wireguard stopped working (no handshakes, no data transfer). I do not know exactly when it was because I didn't use it very often, which makes it difficult to pinpoint what changed. Possibly when I updated to 6.12.6? Anyways, after a lot of attempts to try and set it up again I need some assistance! What I've tried so far: Quadrouple checking my port forwarding Updating my IP on DuckDNS (wasn't an issue) Updating the tunnels on my phone via QR code Deleting my peers and tunnels and setting them up again (did that like 10 times haha) A complete fresh Unraid install (at this point I was getting desperate haha) I understand that currently you all have nothing to go on, so if there is a certain kind of log that I can send through that will help please let me know. For those who suffer with the same issue as I was having I was able to solve the issue in the end. For me, it was a combination of the following get rid of the Code 43: Making sure the passthrough information had the correct function/slot/bus/multifunction. Adding "hidden state" to the kvm. See code. Adding a arbitraty value "123456789" to a vendor id. This solved the Code 43 and I was able to get sound from the card, however it had some serious issues. It slowed playback considerably, and sounded truly demonic haha. In the end I was playing with different emulation machines, i440fx and Q53, and after I had eventually I found one which worked. Occasionally I do have the demonic sound return however this can be solved simply with a system restart and it's so intermittent I am content with it for now. Good luck! Okay, more attempts on this today to no avail. Here are some of the things which I tried: I setup a new VM with windows 10 rather than windows 11. Exactly the same result. Still reporting Code 43 in device manager, still no sound. Next I thought that possibly the GPU bios was the issue. I followed SpaceInvader One's video on how to pass though the GPU. In that tutorial he goes through how to rip the bios from the card (which I did) and then how to add it to the XML. Still no change. If anyone has any other suggestions for what I could try it would be much appreciated. Hey Shpitz , thanks for the reply! Ahh, so the VM template GUI is just to get the initial XML. Makes sense! Please have a look over the VM XML. This is the one I have edited to match the post you suggested (hopefully I have done it correctly). I matched it to the IOMMU groups like you showed. I wasn't sure how the "Slot" attribute effected the address so I just left them at 00. Unfortunately this didn't solve the sound issue. I did however notice something else that may be the root cause. In device manager the GPU is showing as having an issue. Code 43. It reports correctly, but has this error. From a little research it seems this would stop the Nvidia driver from running at boot which I guess could cause issues with sound also. Hey all, I'm fairly new to Unraid and have enjoyed the challenge of setting up my first VM. It is just a basic Windows 11 VM which I intend to use as a HTPC to connect to my TV. I have successfully passed through the GPU and am getting a good reliable HDMI output to the TV. The only issue is that I cannot seem to get the sound to work. Some things I have tried / checked: Passed through the GPU and respective Nvidia sound card (from the GPU) I installed the VirtIO drivers after starting up the VM Installed the latest Unraid and Windows updates Updated to the latest Nvidia GPU drivers. The GPU and "HD Audio" are displaying correctly in Device Manager in the VM. Tried troubleshooting audio through Windows to no avail Nvidia control panel does not open in the VM (Not sure if this is relevant, maybe just a VM thing) If you would like me to share a "log"? or something similar let me know. As I said, very new here. Any help appreciated! Thanks, Matt
