  1. I'm looking to downgrade my setup a little bit so I'm selling my dual xeon 2680v2 system. I figured I'd offer it here before ebay, I'm looking for around 700 + shipping(from 55337) As stated above it has dual 2680v2's. I've used it as a gaming box with a nvidia 970(windows 10), Ubuntu 16.04(passthrough video card), libreelec(passthrough video card), plus 2 additional virtual machines. It never bogged down. Plus multiple dockers, emby was able to transcode x265 to x264 on the fly without an issue. You do not have to use the ACS override. As stated above it has dual 2680v2's 64 GB ECC ram (samsung ddr3 1600) ASRock EP2C602 that I bought new in the box. I'm not using the marvel controller due to running virtual machines, but if you aren't running virtual machines you could have 14 SATA ports before even having an addon card. The server is still running, and I can provide the diagnostics file if requested. I can take paypal if needed Thank you Aaron
  2. Thanks for your help, I think I figured out its my ssd thats not in the array that its reading, I set it to ignore the disk but we will see, again thanks
  3. it is in /dev but not under sdx, nvme0n1. After rereading your post it makes sense, as long as temp fan control is based on my spinners and not on my NVME I'm good with that! block/ disk/ hpet loop-control mapper/ md6 net/ ptmx ptyp5 sdb1 sdg sdk1 sdp sg15 shm/ tty12 tty20 tty29 tty37 tty45 tty53 tty61 ttyp2 vcs2 vcsa4 bsg/ dri/ hwrng loop0 md1 md7 network_latency ptp0 ptyp6 sdc sdg1 sdl sdp1 sg2 stderr@ tty13 tty21 tty3 tty38 tty46 tty54 tty62 ttyp3 vcs3 vcsa5 btrfs-control fb0 initctl| loop1 md10 md8 network_throughput ptp1 ptyp7 sdc1 sdh sdl1 sg0 sg3 stdin@ tty14 tty22 tty30 tty39 tty47 tty55 tty63 ttyp4 vcs4 vcsa6 bus/ fd@ input/ loop2 md11 md9 null pts/ random sdd sdh1 sdm sg1 sg4 stdout@ tty15 tty23 tty31 tty4 tty48 tty56 tty7 ttyp5 vcs5 vfio/ char/ full ipmi0 loop3 md12 mem nvme0 ptyp0 rtc@ sdd1 sdi sdm1 sg10 sg5 tty tty16 tty24 tty32 tty40 tty49 tty57 tty8 ttyp6 vcs6 vga_arbiter console fuse kmem loop4 md2 memory_bandwidth nvme0n1 ptyp1 rtc0 sde sdi1 sdn sg11 sg6 tty0 tty17 tty25 tty33 tty41 tty5 tty58 tty9 ttyp7 vcsa vhost-net core@ hidraw1 kmsg loop5 md3 mouse@ nvme0n1p1 ptyp2 sda sde1 sdj sdn1 sg12 sg7 tty1 tty18 tty26 tty34 tty42 tty50 tty59 ttyS0 urandom vcsa1 xconsole| cpu/ hidraw3 kvm loop6 md4 mpt2ctl port ptyp3 sda1 sdf sdj1 sdo sg13 sg8 tty10 tty19 tty27 tty35 tty43 tty51 tty6 ttyp0 vcs vcsa2 zero
  4. The latest version has the ability to exclude hard drives now. Also, as with all the fan settings, they can all be changed and applied without stopping fan control. The ipmifan script will pickup changes to the fan.cfg file and implement them on the next internal. Would it be possible to add NVME drives to that list? My HD temp still shows my NVME drive which always runs warmer then my disk array. Also I noticed in the release notes you were working on the asrock boards, if you need anything from me please let me know Thanks Aaron
  5. For me to run configure in the GUI I had to turn fan control on, press apply, and then turn it off and press apply, and that allowed me to use the configure option. Even though when I initially started it the gui said it was stopped.
  6. ahhh ok again thanks for your hard work
  7. Thanks for your hard work, Is there a way to see the debug when it says the ipmi raw settings, because I can manually turn the fans down, and fan control says its working but its only adjusting the CPU1 fan and not front fan 1-3, they are still going at max speed 2017-10-09 21:56:26 CPU_FAN1_1(48%):CPU_BSP1 Temp(39°C), FRNT_FAN1( 6%):HDD Temperature(27°C), FRNT_FAN2( 6%):HDD Temperature(27°C), FRNT_FAN3( 6%):HDD Temperature(27°C) 2017-10-09 21:58:38 CPU_FAN1_1(45%):CPU_BSP1 Temp(38°C), FRNT_FAN1( 6%):HDD Temperature(26°C), FRNT_FAN2( 6%):HDD Temperature(26°C), FRNT_FAN3( 6%):HDD Temperature(26°C) 2017-10-09 21:59:12 CPU_FAN1_1(50%):CPU_BSP1 Temp(40°C), FRNT_FAN1( 6%):HDD Temperature(26°C), FRNT_FAN2( 6%):HDD Temperature(26°C), FRNT_FAN3( 6%):HDD Temperature(26°C) CPU_FAN1_1 1400 RPM Fan CPU_FAN2_1 2200 RPM Fan REAR_FAN1 N/A Fan REAR_FAN2 400 RPM Fan FRNT_FAN1 1300 RPM Fan FRNT_FAN2 1400 RPM Fan FRNT_FAN3 1500 RPM Fan FRNT_FAN4 500 RPM ipmi-raw 00 3a 01 1 24 4 4 4 4 ipmi-raw 00 3a 11 1 24 4 4 CPU_FAN1_1 1600 RPM Fan CPU_FAN2_1 1700 RPM Fan REAR_FAN1 N/A Fan REAR_FAN2 300 RPM Fan FRNT_FAN1 600 RPM Fan FRNT_FAN2 500 RPM Fan FRNT_FAN3 500 RPM Fan FRNT_FAN4 400 RPM Fan

  14. The 2 unknowns could be front fan 3 and 4? Tested, the first "unknown" is front fan controller 3 ipmi-raw 00 3a 01 0 0 16 16 16 16 Second unknown is front fan controller 4 ipmi-raw 00 3a 11 0 0 16 16 I'm not sure if any of this is new or I'm just rehashing someone else's finding's, anyhow hope that helps Confirmed via fan monitoring
  15. I find this really ironic because I just got redoing my server with the same exact board..... I'd love for auto fan control to work, If there is anything I can do to help I'll do it. Thanks Aaron
