[Plugin] NUT v2 - Network UPS Tools
Attaching my debug logs, if you have a moment to look. The UNRAID syslog is just that above error over and over, but it seems like the UPS is working fine. It shows footer information and the UPS being online, etc. I had it in bypass mode for a while and changed it to not be. I'm not 100% sure what this brand of UPS wants to be in as the NUT plugin shows green when not in bypass, but the UPS GUI shows a warning... when I go on bypass, they are opposite. UNRAID shows the yellow/amber warning and the UPS shows all green. go figure. nut-debug-20241124160132.zipnut-ups.dev

[Plugin] NUT v2 - Network UPS Tools
Sorry to bug again, but I had issues a few months ago with a Lievert/Vertiv GXT5 UPS that I ended up moving to SNMP since it was more "enterprise" and the USB drivers didnt work for it. I can get all sorts of great readings from it, but I noticed my syslog was filling up. When watching it when NUT is on, I get this error repeatedly. I'm guessing it's the SNMP connection since it references the OID, but I'm not sure what to test. I'm using SNMP v2c at your request. Should I bump that down to v1 or is v3 working any better? Thanks! Nov 23 23:13:31 NAS01 snmp-ups[9618]: [ups] Warning: type error exception (OID = .1.3.6.1.2.1.33.1.7.7.1)

[Plugin] NUT v2 - Network UPS Tools
Oh yah. that's exactly what I needed to do! I have the wattage showing in the footer. I also updated a few of the variables for the Stats Module since this UPS seems to play by its own rules and that is fully populated now, too. Thanks so much for the help! I'm very happy to have all of this back reporting again. I'll have to do a load test with my UNRAID array off-line to make sure it all works now.

[Plugin] NUT v2 - Network UPS Tools
Hello again! Sorry for the delay. I was able to enable SNMP v2c on the UPS and set up a basic community string. NUT picked it up with the SNMP driver/port and I get all of the information now. My last question is if I can change the footer GUI output. It looks like I see battery %, which is good, but I also see UPS Load %. I'd rather see the variable output.realpower, or add that to the footer (or other variables, too) with those others to see what all equipment is pulling for Watts. Is there a simple config file I can edit or is that more difficult to customize? Also thanks again for such fast support! I'm very happy that this is showing data again and was hoping I wouldn't be unable to safely shut down my server if there was an outage. As for network connectivity, I have all of my network gear connected to this same UPS, so if its ever off... its all off... hah.

[Plugin] NUT v2 - Network UPS Tools
Hello! I switched from a supported Eaton UPS to a larger Liebert / Emerson / Vertiv GXT5-1500LVRT2UXL. It has a USB connection as well as a NIC card for web-based administration. When I attach it to the usbhid-ups driver, I do see some basic information, but not enough to configure the footer with the LOAD/TIMELEFT that I used to have. I'm actually having issues starting the NUT plugin in UNRAID now, so I'm posting my debug log. It looks like the error in the syslog is "libusb1: Could not open any HID devices: insufficient permissions on everything" and: Sep 2 09:42:26 NAS01 rc.nut: This Liebert device (10af:1000) is not (or perhaps not yet) supported Sep 2 09:42:26 NAS01 rc.nut: by usbhid-ups. Please make sure you have an up-to-date version of NUT. If Sep 2 09:42:26 NAS01 rc.nut: this does not fix the problem, try running the driver with the Sep 2 09:42:26 NAS01 rc.nut: '-x productid=1000' option. Please report your results to the NUT user's Sep 2 09:42:26 NAS01 rc.nut: mailing list <[email protected]>. The driver I'm not sure where to set the '-x productid=1000' option, though. is that editing ups.conf or can that be done in the UNRAID GUI? I'm not seeing really anyone else that has this unicorn of a UPS since they are a bit expensive. I tried using custom drivers in the GUI settings, but I didn't have any luck with that, either. It seems that NUT doesnt even want to start up now. I did try re-installing it, but it still has errors on startup. It was working when I switched from Eaton to a temporary GXT4 to the permanent GXT5, but not I cannot even get it to start. If I use the UNRAID UPS plugin, it shows the batteries at 1000000000.0 Percent and the Load at 200 Percent. Not exactly correct, but the TIMELEFT variable is accurate. I'm not sure if NUT or UNRAID can support these, so I'm not sure if I have a dead-end here and I need to look at something else like SNMP. Thanks! nut-debug-20240902095721.zip

[Support] ich777 - Application Dockers
Thanks a lot for the link. you are correct. I was able to step through the ssh keys section of his tutorial and everything is working as it should now. I'll move those files for next time. Thanks!

I recently updated my LuckyBackup docker container to 0.5 and now every time I'm running a backup profile that has multiple entries, it prompts for a password. I have it running as root, so I can manually enter the root password and it will continue the sync, but each entry in the profile will prompt for a password and that is sometimes hours into a sync, so if I'm not here to enter it, the job fails. Is there something simple I am missing or need to check in the config again that may have been reset? Thanks!

Rebooting / powering off randomly
Thanks for the quick replies. It looks to have been the PSU. Rock solid with a new one. Thanks!

Rebooting / powering off randomly
I had a putty session open with a tail -f on the syslog and it didnt show anything obvious, or really anything about a shutdown at all, so its more like it was just powered off abruptly as you are mentioning. I saw the mover as one of the last entries so that is why I tried the cache first. Swapping the PSU and going to see if I can complete a parity check.

Rebooting / powering off randomly
Thanks. Curious to see if anything in the logs shows any errors. If not, then it must be something core-hardware that doesn't report/log. I have a spare PSU, so I'll do that first. Board... that's harder. I might just rebuild it with a new board / CPU to upgrade if that is the next choice.

Rebooting / powering off randomly
Had this UnRAID server for about 5.5 years now. Has been running flawlessly until recently. Server will power off or reboot and be offline. I have not made any hardware changes immediately before the issue starting occurring. I thought it might be my M.2 SSD Cache drive, so I removed that and started it back up to get a parity scan going, but then it rebooted again. I was starting SAB/SONARR when they went offline, but I have had them off when it has powered off / rebooted. MEMTest came back fine after 2 loops. Was going to try the PSU next since there are really no obvious logs when I tail -f /var/log/syslog in a PUTTY window. I had the mover going every 2 hrs. on the cache and that was typically the last entry in the syslog so I thought it might be the cache. I was going to scan the CPU and whatever else I can with HBCD. I have a fairly low-power setup. On-board graphics, i5 6600k and only 5 spinning drives and a SSD cache. I don't recall the PSU size, but I can have a look at it. Fairly-dust free and all fans are spinning free and fine. doesn't seem to be a cooling issue. The NAS is connected to a rack-mounted Eaton UPS with other network / security camera gear, so I'd know if the UPS was failing or powering off. nas01-diagnostics-20221229-1110.zip
