Hi, I've been a lurker for some time, but never had to ask for help. About an hour ago, I was using a Docker resource, all was fine. 30 min later, found the server unresponsive. @Eoini1kenobi I been having the exact same issues. When Cache Mover released, it worked without any media server details. I use Jellyfin. My media subfolders are named "movies" and "tv" just like yours. I have tried "only", "multi" and empty modes to no avail. I get the same errors. the way I checked it was to view the Main page, watching the array disk with the original copy continue to be read every few seconds. I confirmed this with the Open Files plugin showing that Jellyfin continued to use the file on disk2 instead of the newly created copy on cache_media

Yes, I believe I have all the Cache Mover settings correct. See image. Here's my Jellyfin docker volumes: /data <--> /mnt/user/media/library /config <--> /mnt/user/appdata/jellyfin Cache Mover copies the movie file to cache_media, but Jellyfin does not "switch" to the pool, instead it continues to read from the array.

Okay, I have renamed all the folders and files to remove brackets { } and only using ( ). The movie file is now moving to cache_media pool. Two odd things are now happening. Cache Mover is moving the entire movie directory including any meta files poster images. Also, even with "switch" used instead of "close," Jellyfin is not switching to the cache file but is still using the file on the array.

understood - thank you. Odd it was working exactly as intended last weekend though. I did testing with you on January 13 related and my logs all have movies with bracketed names. I have not changed any Cache Mover settings since then. See attached image. Correct, there was a trailing slash, I just removed it and applied change. But again, it was like that last weekend, too.

Awesome explanation - I've configured to "only" mode to keep Cache Mover from moving the movie files while Trickplay generation is happening. Last question - I may have gotten ahead of Cache Mover and manually deleted movie files it had cached. So Cache Mover hasn't been able to move them back and clear them from the list. Any easy way to do that? See image.

I think that helps with the cron settings - thank you. https://jellyfin.org/posts/jellyfin-release-10.9.0/ "Trickplay" a.k.a. live video scrubbing. When scrubbing through a video with this enabled, you will be able to see a live preview of the video at that timestamp. Clarification on the MediaServer only mode: does it specifically look for files that Jellyfin is serving/playing or does it look for files that Jellyfin is accessing. Because Jellyfin would be accessing the files to generate the Trickplay images. But it's not serving/playing the file to a user.

Cache Mover: What would be the easiest way to temporarily disable the plug-in? The use case for turning it off would be the generation of Jellyfin trickplay files. Cache Mover sees Jellyfin accessing and copies the movie file to the cache pool. Then when the trickplay files are generated, they get stored with the movie on the cache. When Cache Mover removes the movie file from the cache pool the trickplay files are left orphaned on the cache pool making it incredibly time consuming to move them back to the array. Cache Mover Just installed today on 7.0.0-rc.2. At first, nothing was happening. Loaded movie from Jellyfin in browser, waited, waited some more. Before I knew it, the movie had been playing for 30 minutes in the background. Checked Cache Mover Log and Cache Mover Lists. Both blank. Read through forum posts. Added "/" after my subfolders as below. Also loaded up a movie on a Jellyfin app on the Shield. Waited for the cron to fire - SUCCESS. Maybe it was the "/" in the keywords, or maybe it was the browser was just caching too much of the movie and not keeping the connection open long enough for the plugin to see it. Hope this helps someone else out there. Many thanks!
