  1. Installed sas card and added disk4 to the array, booted up fine, working fine the past few days. Noticed contents from drive was missing on Plex all of a sudden a few days later, all from disk3. Restarted the server, refreshed on sonarr, most of it filled back in but maybe 5-10% of the files are gone. I can't see any of my media files in the share, I can see them in Krusader, with remnants of the deleted files at the bottom of the list in name only. No details other than the name and size (0 B), this is only on disk3. Smart quickscan shows 0 errors. Now downloading and importing on Sonarr works, but Plex isn't picking up any new files since it all happened. Scan of library files bring up nothing. Manual import has also slowed way down compared to its normal speed. Appreciate any input. Thanks. 🙏 Edit: So seems the missing shows that got picked back up by sonarr, is not being seen on Plex, just a lot of holes. I can see them on Krusader though. Edit2: Even more confusing, my media folders don't show up in share (tv,movies, anime) but my 4k folder with like 5 movies does show up, which are on disk2 and disk3 same as my other files. serverbotan-diagnostics-20230923-0949.zip
  2. Flashed it to most recent Bios and now looks like it gets recognized! Now it does this hanging on mobo splash screen thing after the sas initlization, and didn't boot until I plugged in a keyboard randomly. I figure its something to do with some boot order or bios setting I'll have to tinker with. In my frustration though, I saw someone selling a i5-7500 with mobo for a pretty decent price and figured I may as well upgrade from the 3570k for Plex. So now its a moot point I suppose, unless that mobo decides to mess with me too. I appreciate ya JorgeB, thank you very much for your input. 🙌
  3. Embarrassing realization, I mistakenly thought it was recognizing HDDs but I got things mixed up. So like JorgeB said, it wasn't being detected by the system at all. This is the card I bought. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/165938356535 I've tried the tape trick since since I'm out of leads but no dice on either 16 or 8 slot. I might just have to resort to a newer mobo set at this point.
  4. I plugged it into my main Windows computer, I think the card bios popped up with initializing, then the mobo bios. After that, I could see the disk I plugged in on Disk Management. So doesn't look to be dead thankfully. I guess its the mobo my server is on? I don't really know what else to do. Hoping I don't have to replace it. 😭
  5. Sorry, I meant the disks are seen in the Motherboard Bios. I was using the main pcie slot 16x, attached it to the 8x, still no dice.
  6. Ordered a 9217-8i from everyones favorite seller on eBay, only to have it not be as plug as play as I was hoping. I would appreciate any help offered my way. 🙏 serverbotan-diagnostics-20230914-0210.zip
