  1. Hello Unraid Community, I'm experiencing an issue with the USB 3.0 ports on my Gigabyte X670 AORUS ELITE AX motherboard and seeking your expertise. The ports in question are the two USB 3.0 ports located at the back, just below the USB 2.0 ports closest to the exhaust fan. This issue has led to intermittent disconnections of connected devices, affecting only the USB 3.0 ports currently, although I've noticed similar behavior with the USB 2.0 ports in the past. This is indeed a new build that has suffered from this issue since day one. (About 4 months ago) System Details: Motherboard: Gigabyte X670 AORUS ELITE AX, BIOS Version F22b (Dated 02/06/2024) CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X 16-Core @ 4500 MHz RAM: Corsair Dual Channel 64 GiB DDR5 OS: Unraid 6.12.8, Kernel Linux 6.1.74-Unraid x86_64 Others: C-States Enabled, HVM Enabled, IOMMU Enabled, Network: bond0 fault-tolerance (active-backup), MTU 1500 Troubleshooting Steps Taken: Isolated Devices: Disconnected USB devices one at a time to identify if any particular device was causing the issue. The problem persisted, eliminating device-specific faults. BIOS Update: Updated the BIOS to the latest version (F22b). However, it's worth noting that the F22b version does not introduce any changes from the F22 version, as confirmed by Gigabyte. The persistent nature of this issue across different types of USB ports suggests a more systemic problem, possibly related to the motherboard's USB controller or its interaction with Unraid. I'm attaching my diagnostics file for a more detailed analysis but would appreciate any insights or recommendations from the community. Could this be a known issue with a potential workaround, or are there any settings within Unraid or the BIOS that I might have overlooked? Thank you in advance for your help and support. jasmasiserver-diagnostics-20240329-0022.zip

  3. Done, thank you. Had no idea that was a thing. I've only had unraid for about a month here.
  4. First off, i'll start with my specs. Motherboard: Gigabyte Aorus elite ax x670 CPU: AMD ryzen 7950x RAM: CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 RAM 64GB (2x32GB) 6000MHz Power Supply: Corsair RM1000x XTAIGOOD SAS9300-16i LSI 9300 (HBA card) Hello Unraid Community, I'm experiencing a persistent issue with my Unraid server that I'm hoping to get some insights on. I am running the latest version of unraid (6.12.6) as well as an updated bios (released Nov 10th) Issue Description: The server crashes specifically during Plex's sonic analysis process. This issue does not occur under other high-load scenarios or during general use. Initially, I suspected a CPU voltage issue since the crashes seemed to occur when a single core was under heavy load. I'll admit, I started with a negative curve optimizer offset in hopes I could get some extra performance. (I ran core cycler for 12 hours without issues on windows). After realizing this wasn't going to help.. I set everything to default except IMMO and AMD's virtualization settings in the bios. Not even enabling expo. Intriguingly, these crashes were not happening when the system was running Windows, suggesting it might be related to Unraid or the interaction between Unraid, Plex, and my hardware. I've checked the /boot/logs directory, but there's nothing in there. However, going to Tools > System Logs does indeed show a log, but it only shows entries post-reboot, providing no clues about the crash. Troubleshooting Steps Taken: Monitored temperatures and power draw. (all seem fine, I don't think it is the power supply has it is fine under an all core load) Ensured all software/bios are up to date. The only thing I can think of now to do is to set a positive curve optimizer.. which.. is insane to me. (I set a positive of 5 on all cores just to see in the meantime.) This whole set up should be stable right out of the box. Is this how ryzen is? The craziest thing is I was running a negative 30 curve optimizer on every core in windows runing core cylcer. Anyway, I've also attached my diagnostics zip. I'm reaching out to see if anyone has encountered a similar issue or might have insights into what could be causing these specific crashes during Plex's sonic analysis. Any suggestions or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help! jasmasiserver-diagnostics-20231211-1925.zip
