    have a j630 16 bay chassis i swapped in some 12tb hgst drives. no spin up. blocked pin 3 and bam all spinning now and working. i used nail polish to cover the pin. edit- adding in hgst paper showing what drives need this if your cable/enclosure isnt compatible. https://documents.westerndigital.com/content/dam/doc-library/en_us/assets/public/western-digital/collateral/tech-brief/tech-brief-western-digital-power-disable-pin.pdf

    are you sure sure you installed the correct drivers? connectx-3 and below have diff drivers than connecx-4 and up
