  1. Baregills's post in Intermittent loss of server connection. was marked as the answer
    You are not wrong.
    I'm still having dropouts.
I'm beginning to suspect the Mac is the problem.
    Thanks again for your input.
  2. Well, today I wrote some changes to the array and they went to the pool drive and not the array. I then initiated a move and the changes were written to the array and deleted from the pool. I changed nothing to facilitate this. I wonder if the change to the capitalization of there media folder was somehow delayed, though I can't see how. I rebooted after making the change and checked after that.
    Anyway, it is now fixed.
Thank you for your help and as always, it is much appreciated.

    OK.
    Thank you for that.
I will try and get that implemented.
  4. Baregills's post in 5 parity errors that will not go away. was marked as the answer
Thanks, but I think the angels are with me. I came upon a post discussing a similar (but not exact) problem somebody was having.
They developed the idea that forcing a write of some data to the suspect drive, the issue could be resolved.
The logic of this eludes me, but such a simple action was worth a try.
And voila, the parity was clear and my concerns gone. (I am however not too keen on deleting that data I wrote - just in case).
I appreciate your help and suggestions which I will bear in mind for the future.
