  1. Thank you so much, you saved me! I will replace it with a SATA drive
  2. Hello, This is a follow up from my previous post referenced bellow. This time, I have logs! The drive in question is an USB one (I know, not ideal), I have replaced the USB cable since last time. Symptoms are the same as last time: parity drive won't start Reference to my previous thread: I ran short and extended SMART tests, no issues found. Logs and diagnostics attached. I don't see anything bad related to the 'faulty' drive. When restarting the array, the disk remains online for a couple of days and then disables. It has done it twice during the time covered in the syslog file, I don't have the exact day of failure unfortunately. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you. syslog-192.168.1.25-v1.log tower-diagnostics-20240305-0634.zip
  3. Thank you sir! Syslog server now configured, I'll know more next time if it happens again.
  4. Thanks a lot, my array is now rebuilding its parity drive, and you taugh me that restarting the array makes the lot disappear. Much appreciated. I'll likely investigate how to persist these logs to a cache at some point.
  5. Hello, My array was fine this morning and I came back tonight and the parity drive now shows as stopped: Trying to spin it up doesn't do anything (the icon remains as is). The server logs only show this: Feb 21 18:52:15 Tower emhttpd: spinning down /dev/sda Feb 21 18:52:22 Tower emhttpd: spinning up /dev/sda Feb 21 18:52:29 Tower emhttpd: read SMART /dev/sda Feb 21 19:12:33 Tower emhttpd: spinning down /dev/sda Feb 21 19:12:35 Tower emhttpd: spinning up /dev/sda Feb 21 19:12:39 Tower emhttpd: read SMART /dev/sda I am attaching a diagnostic files as well as a SMART test for the drive. tower-diagnostics-20240221-1915.zip tower-smart-20240221-1839.zip I tried to reboot, but with no luck. I am fairly Unraid noob, please excuse me if this is a dumb problem or if I am missing obvious things I am supposed to provide for you to help. Thank you, Julian
