Hello, Anyone knows if there is a plugin/app that works with Terramaster w N305 to read and control the fan? Today I found a bunch of notifications with "HDD# is overheating", at some point there was a 82 C mark... great... did it shorten their lives significantly or are they on borrowed time now? 4 HDDs + 1 NVME Restarted, turned off array, wanted to check later... started to see temp rising - checking the fan and it is not spinning. I'm gonna check later if the fan is dead, but would like to know how to avoid this in the future.

Just to make sure that I expressed myself correctly: - I copied files from an external USB drive /mnt/Disks/usb_drive directly to /mnt/Disk2 - I didn't see the Parity drive's "HDD drive is doing smth" led blinking - Disk2's led was blinking This is why I assumed Parity disk was not involved in the process. I'm mistaken - Parity indeed works in such case, correct?

Hello, After the completion of parity addition and check, I have transferred files directly to one of the disks on the array. Do I have to run any Parity update command or rebuild Parity from the ground up? Do I have to always write to the array for Parity to work automatically? Thanks

How should I interpret the "rapid" decrease RawReadErrorRate and SeekErrorRate? Will it just drop down past the threshold if I would run 2 more Preclears, for example?

Hello, I've got Refurbished 18TB Seagate IronWolf Pro from ServerPartDeals recently, I've ran Extended SMART and Preclear, then copied ~0.6TB onto it. RawReadErrorRate and SeekErrorRate were 100 when purchased, they fell more than 20 points after. I would like to get some understanding if the values indicate any problem and a reason for exchange, or does it look like a fine refurbished item and I should not think too much about it.
