  1. This is a hassle for me as well. I want to attach a 220V, 9cm fan in front of my chassis, controlled by a smart plug. The smart plug will be managed by Home Assistant and the Unraid plugin. This is a workaround for situations where dynamic control of the fan isn’t possible. If your NAS is located in a storage room, it might be easier to just set a fixed fan speed in the BIOS instead of going through all this effort.
  2. Hello, friend! I’m using an HP Z230 and I’ve noticed that Unraid is unable to detect my fan sensor. As a result, the fan operates at a constant speed. While I can set the speed in the BIOS, it doesn’t adjust according to the actual load, leading to either excessive noise or high temperatures. I tried using lm-sensors for detection, but it only recognizes the CPU sensor and fails to identify the relevant chip for the fan. Do you have any solutions for this issue, or do you know what chip is used in this model? Thank you!
