  1. Oh thanks m8, will try. Thought that number was a internal version number or something, didnt realise it's just the game id^^
  2. Hi, i bothered you with my Ark Server from your template some time ago, thanks again for your help back then, worked out fine. My friends asked me to try to revert our server back to an older version, pre aquatica, as we still have problems and cant upload any dinos. We found those steam posts about reverting servers back to a fixed version: https://steamcommunity.com/app/346110/discussions/0/596280581879358180/ https://steamcommunity.com/app/346110/discussions/0/596280581879318721/#c596280581879322656 Basically this line app_update 376030 -beta preaquatica validate should be added to some server start file, but I'm not sure how this works for your container as much of this is generated from the unraid interface as far as i understand? u think this is doable without much hassle? thanks for any advice
  3. ah ok, then it's probably that..Game.iniGameUserSettings.ini i generated the GameUserSettings. with an online generator. i'll try to use the original file and just add what i want to change, instead of a newly generated file
  4. Hey, got another little issue i cant quite understand, i tried to manipulate the GameUserSettings.ini and Game.ini to set up the ark server as i'd like. But when starting the container afterwards the files are always reset to the original content and i can't really change any of the server settings except those in the docker config. How is it expected to configure the server? Should i add config entries to the docker template for everything, that would be rather cumbersome? Thanks for any advice Edit: I changed the files in /cache/appdata/ark-se/ShooterGame/Saved/Config/WindowsServer
  5. Sorry, have to bother you one more time^^ I turned the server off yesterday (stopped container -> stopped array -> turned off) and started it up again today. since that it´s crashing: Connecting anonymously to Steam Public...OK Waiting for client config...OK Waiting for user info...OK Success! I would like to find out what i did wrong, to not have my game server lost every time i restart or whatever ^.^ Any advice appreciated Update: Ooook the server is now available some time later, seems to just take forever to start up even if the log already said it's up, can the RequestExit command be ignored, or is this a problem? Sorry again for probably stupid questions...internet is not really clear on if this might actually be problematic in the future
  6. the newly created container did the waiting for logs -> sleep thing again. i then changed the global share settings according to your screenshot and restarted everything. it did a little download again and then restartet a few times, now it seems to work, thanks alot :) my specs are i7-6700k and 32GB RAM, i hope this is enough for just a few friends (3 or 4 people)
  7. Hi, I installed the ARKSurvivalEvolved Container today and it seems fine, i added the map_count option, now the server starts up fine looking into the docker logs. But I cant find the server either via the game or steam. root@Server1:~# docker ps CONTAINER ID IMAGE COMMAND CREATED STATUS PORTS NAMES e9b2c1cc326c ghcr.io/mainfrezzer/ase-docker "/opt/scripts/start.…" 4 minutes ago Up 4 minutes 0.0.0.0:7777-7778->7777-7778/udp, :::7777-7778->7777-7778/udp, 0.0.0.0:27015->27015/udp, :::27015->27015/udp, 0.0.0.0:27020->27020/tcp, :::27020->27020/tcp ARKSurvivalEvolved port forwarding should be fine too root@Server1:~# docker logs ARKSurvivalEvolved ---Ensuring UID: 99 matches user--- ---Ensuring GID: 100 matches user--- ---Setting umask to 000--- ---Checking for optional scripts--- ---No optional script found, continuing--- ---Taking ownership of data...--- ---Starting...--- ---Update SteamCMD--- Redirecting stderr to '/serverdata/Steam/logs/stderr.txt' Logging directory: '/serverdata/Steam/logs' [ 0%] Checking for available updates... I now deleted the container and everything in appdata and system and redid everything, will leave it alone for now until tomorrow... maybe i just played around with it too fast after creating (about an hour after first startup) anyway, im thankfull for any input on what could be done to get this running, im new entirely to unraid and hosting game servers
