  1. HP 800 G6 7.3 and onboard boot. Managed by an IT kook. The old motherboard had PCH overheat problems so I've swapped in a new one, I've set the boot order to the boot disk. Set rest of bios to the same as the old one (to the best of my memory). It either sits on black screen for ever or the HP page. No signs of the unraid boot page. Should I reinstall unraid and restore from backup? Any suggestions gratefully received,
  2. I've completely ballsed it up. I want to completely 100% start again. How do I transfer the key to a totally new machine? No disks or data to be kept. The only thing important is the frigate yaml, which I have a copy of.
  3. I initially had an ssd array, then learnt about trim, so bought some hdd's but I the noise is makes hdd's a no go. Only a few TB's and nothing vital. I've set a raid1 name cache. Do I set all the shares to pool-array as primary and do MOVE?
  4. I view read that since 7 an array is no longer essential. How do I completely replace my array with a pool? I have looked for instructions on how to migrate from array to pool, but not found them. Thanks (noobish).
  5. Thanks MowMdown, I've been thinking about this. Are these the right steps in the right order? Shutdown all Containers and VM's. Use Move to empty cache. Remove Parity. Consolidate remaining array to min amount of disks. Make Pool RAIDZ1 from cleared discs. Move data into new Pool. **?Then I'll have to edit the Container and VM paths to the new pool? **
  6. Wobbly tech newb, need some hand holding. I built my Unraid from a Dell Optiplex 7060 and 4x 2.5" SSD'd in an array. SSD of 1.9 and 2 TB's Just learnt this is bad form due to lack of TRIM in an array? So I need to rebuild into an pool? But a pool doesn't have a parity drive, so I'll have to put them into a RAIDZ1 with one ssd per VDEV? Is this the process, broadly speaking? 1. Backup all data to an external drive. 2. Turn array into a RAIDZ1 pool with one SSD per VDEV, 3. Restore from external backup. If this is correct I'll still have to read the docs on exactly how to do these steps.
  7. Ohhh! So the problem is not a problem! That tracks, I'm probably not qualified to say this, but I'm hating my Ruijie touter os. Thanks for the feedback.
  8. EDIT: I seem to have solved it by changing: Docker custom network type: form macvlan to ipvlan I have looked for a solution and asked Claude, but no luck. I am very newb. My router is saying: "An IP address conflict occurs. IP address: 192.168.110.253. Conflicting MAC address: 6c:2b:59:c7:b5:7a and 9e:51:6b:89:0c:5e" In the router client list, 110.253 flits between these two mac's. Unraid is running form a one ethernet box. Unraid Network Settings: static: 192.268.110.253 mac ending b5:7a. Bonding: no bridging: yes Breidge member of br0: eth0 IPv4 only Static Vland: no ifconfig says: b5:7a is being used by br0 and eth0. 0c:5e is being used by shim-br0 I don't know what shim-br0 is. No containers are using it. I shut down all containers and vm's and the problem still persists. Hopefully this is an easy solve for someone, or point me towards things to research. EDIT: Think I've solved it by changing Docker custom network type: from macvlan to ipvlan.
