  1. Thanks for letting me know it isn't just me. Its a bit of a pain, especially when getting it setup and not realising that was the cause... lead me down the rabbit hole a few times. Doesn't seem to matter if its a shutdown from within the OS, or STOP from the web OS or Force STOP.. all tend to prevent any further boots...
  2. **** Edit 2 BIOS was fine but turns out I needed to disable the on-board audio to get HDMI to pass-through. It works now but if I restart the VM, it goes back to the kernel panic message, and the only way I can get it to work again is a full reboot. Is there some way to properly release the cards resources so I don't need to do this??? *** Sorry - I found this after posting and haven't tried it yet (MB BIOS UPDATE). I can't delete my post so just ignore it for now, I'll report back after attempting it: https://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=45928.msg439076#msg439076 ********** Hi All, Trying my hand at moving the HTPC into the NAS via VM. Got myself a low powered AMD HD5450 and the rest of my hardware should support VM/IOMMU. Info in the web interface shows; M/B: ASRock - Z87 Extreme6 CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz HVM: Enabled IOMMU: Enabled I had trouble initially but after enabling PCIe ACS Override, I can select the card in Graphics Card and get GPU passthrough working. OpenElec boots with GPU passthrough and everything seems ok... Except Audio. IF I select "AMD Cedar HDMI Audio [Radeon HD 5400/6300 Series]" in the Sound card, I cannot boot. I get a Kernel Panic error: Unable to handle kernal NULL pointer dereferences at ........ Full screenshot below. Looks like something to do with memory allocation, like the GPU is getting allocated twice or something??? I'm really not sure where to go next. As soon as I set the Sound Card back to none - I can boot normally. Can anyone help?! MANY THANKS! 4. Looks like you're correct. If I turn a VPN on I CAN get to https://index.docker.io/v1/repositories/balloob/home-assistant/images ... Turn it off, timeout... Gah.. Stupid ISP.
  5. Nah - just plain old straight through ADSL... Australia based...
  6. Weird. Net seems to be working fine for everything else. rebooted everything cant seem to find a problem
  7. Hi Balloob, Thanks for this - looks interesting.. was gonna give it a go but I get the following error on install after dling about 140MB? Unable to find image 'balloob/home-assistant:latest' locally Post http:///var/run/docker.sock/v1.19/images/create?fromImage=balloob%2Fhome-assistant&tag=latest: EOF. Are you trying to connect to a TLS-enabled daemon without TLS? The command failed. Any ideas?
  8. oh dear... nothing to see here. move along. /oh the shame
  9. Hey, Thanks for the sparkly toys Small problem with the template for me (kodi headless). I can't click create after filling in all field... I get a "please fill out this field" error in the top left of the page...? Any ideas?
  10. Hi All, I have search but can only find some really old threads that don't seem to be applicable. (e.g. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=2953.0). Does anyone know if snmp can be enabled in unRaid? Doesn't seem to be available in stock on a package in unMenu. Does anyone already have this functioning? For the record - I just upgraded to 5.11 Beta. Thanks! Helio.
  11. I am using the Asrock P55 Pro (installed 3 days ago) and no problems so far: http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=P55%20Pro Once it is bedded down I'll post the syslog etc...

    Norco 4224 Thread

Thanks, but I am assuming we will have to pay for these...? Or will Norcotek send these at no charge to customers who have already purchased the case? Thanks - that softens the blow somewhat. I hope it isn't too long a wait! Edit: there are 50 plus orders from our groupbuy - will this be the case for all of them?

    Norco 4224 Thread

Yep - very poor form. I joined a group buy (50 plus via overclockers) based on the 120mm specs published. Norco decided to do a 'ninja edit' on their specs page a day or two ago. No other notification. I realise the case has 4 extra hot-swap bays - but to be honest the 120mm was the main reason several of us decided on getting the case at all. Not happy.
  15. Well actually the Wiki suggested 1GB for the 20 drive setup. I only went 2GB because i had to get DDR3 and the only 1GB DDR3 was a crappy brand. http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php?title=Hardware_Compatibility#20_Drive_Beast I can get 4GB without breaking the bank...If this will make a difference?
