  1. Well, I tried those two settings before and only checked the BIOS and saw all of them appearing as IDE, and it would not boot, but I fixed the no boot part and now when I go into unRAID they all read as they should. What a weird motherboard. Thanks guys. Starting preclear.... again.
  2. Changing it to AHCI made the system not boot. Went back into BIOS and saw all drives reading as IDE and the only drive I could select to boot from was one of the data drives and no longer the USB. I am beginnning to hate this board.
  3. Well, I stopped the current run of preclear and went into the BIOS to check and this is what it shows (* = current setting) OnChip SATA Channel -Enabled* Disabled OnChip SATA Type - Native IDE* RAID AHCI Legacy IDE IDE->AHCI SATA IDE Combined Mode - Enabled* Disabled SATA-III Mode - Auto* Force Max Gen2
  4. Hmmm, never changed anything in the BIOS, and all drives are conected to the MB SATA ports. Only thing I see as different about this drive is its port, all the others are sda, sdb, sdc, sdd and this one is hda. Kinda torked now too as my kid decided he wanted to play a game on the PC I had the Telnet sessions going on and rebooted the PC. Gotta start them all over now.
  5. So I am doing a preclear on 5 Samsung F4's and I noticed something. It is on step 2 and running fine save for one thing. 4 of the 5 disks are chugging away at 104-106 MB/s the 5th one however is putzing at 23-25 MB/s Is he the runt of the litter?
  6. This is the case I am using to build an unRAID solution for my mothers Photography business. I originally purchased this for a gaming case back in the day and think it will be great for unRAID. I purchased 2 aditional iCages for a total of 3. I also removed the front wings as they made alot of vibration noise when the unit is running. 7. Ran downstairs to our production room and it states it is a 250w single rail w/ 16a.
  8. I work for a company that makes robotic media duplication machines. We use embedded PC's to run each device. I was finally able to aquire one and I think it works perfectly for unraid. I havent tested it yet, but wanted to get some pics on here to show you what I am working on.
