I thought that it was “disposable” and it would be great if it was in “incognito” mode everytime for just playing around. I just didn’t want the config folder to be the default folder since it isn’t multi tenant(?). I will figure out if it’s possible to change the default save directory to a folder that I will map it to. At the very least that will indicate users not to touch anything outside of my sandbox folder. Thank you both for your inputs.

Is there a way not to expose to config folder?
-
Do I have to add a new volume mapping? The default current save directory is loading
/config/workspace/Untitled-1
which I don't think is correct..? The user can traverse upwards and expose the config folder...

Sorry for not answering your PM, but the container does have the dropbox.py script which can be used to check the status of the sync
How do we access and run the script?

Thanks. Does this mean that I have to manually add a volume to docker that map to my folder, in order to “see” external folder?
Also, based on that article, does it mean I can share a specific folder in my Dropbox and finally allow other users to use my Dropbox account storage without having a business account?
-
I already have a 2tb folder on unraid that I want to share. How do I make that folder be shown in nextcloud? And even better yet like a normal folder so I can edit or move files around inside nextcloud?
-
I wanted some users to be able to access a specific share folder on my unraid, including download files and uploading files, even changing directory structure, within the confines of that share folder. Will this solve my problem? And is the installation guide on the first post dated 2017 still valid/updated?

Used this without issues, but now I'm getting the following errors after upgrading my account from pro to business teams trial.
I am storing it directly in a disk (not user share)

Couldn't start Dropbox.
This is usually because of a permissions error. Storing your home folder on a network share can also cause an error.

Ok I will keep that in mind, will update again if this issue persists in the future... thank you!

Not sure what happened but it’s working now. I reboot it, Bios detected the nvme, but I updated the bios just in case. Works fine now. Appreciate your help!

Not sure what happened, but I have been overseas and the server was working fine for more than a month and all of a sudden errors occured. Could not access my Plex and OpenVPN etc. Lots of errors while viewing the log.
I'm also getting errors like this:
fstrim: /etc/libvirt: FITRIM ioctl failed: Input/output error
fstrim: /var/lib/docker: FITRIM ioctl failed: Input/output errorDid something died or got corrupted? What should be my next move?

My docker.img file is filling up due to excessive logging from various apps
Some applications will log almost everything that they do. In cases of your docker.img file filling up due to excessive logging, you should look at the application's settings within its GUI and try to limit the logging that it performs.
Additionally, you can limit any docker's logging to a set size by adding the following to the Extra Parameters when you edit the application template (Switch to advanced view via the button in the top right corner)
--log-opt max-size=50m --log-opt max-file=1
This will limit the log size to a very reasonable 50 Meg
EDIT: DO NOT USE THE LOG ROTATION OPTION IN UNRAID LISTED BELOW. IT IS NOT OBVIOUS THE STEPS REQUIRED TO MAKE IT WORK PROPERLY For the log rotation settings to take effect, you MUST remove and reinstall your containers (or delete the docker image). It is advised to instead use the extra parameters section instead
* Under unRaid 6.7.0+, the logging options now insert the appropriate entries into the entra parameters, but you still basically have to remove and then re-add the container
EDIT: As of unRaid 6.4.0-rc7 you can set this globally for all applications by:-
Settings - Docker -
Stop the service -
Switch to advanced view -
Enable the logging rotation option accordingly -
Restart the service
Works great for me on 6.6.7 unraid, fixed my sonar and ombi and transmission spamming gigabytes of logs.

Is this docker image working for Dropbox again?

The USB drive is my flash/boot drive, I hope it’s not dying. Any way to check?
Ever since I replaced the data cables and replaced disk2 with a bigger drive, the array has been working fine. I will order a second drive as parity once the drives are on sale. But before that I need to clear my disk2 first before I dump it away for recycling. Is it possible to clear the disk using unraid via a usb3 cable or just direct cable, without adding it onto the array?
-
First time the usb drive disconnected. Ended up rebooting the server, and all seems ok again. Disk2 is rebuilding drive from 0%.
Attached rebooted diagnostics.
-
I got a new drive recently and was trying to replace disk2, but near the middle it seems that my usb drive disconnected/died. Is the restoration process still going on or should I just shut it down and check/replace the usb drive?
-
In other words, it’s possible I got lucky? 😀

Don’t get a gigabyte x570 Aorus pro wifi. It’s very unraid friendly.
How come?
-
🤷♂️or maybe it could be a bug somewhere..
Anyway I have attached fresh diagnostics since then, could be useful.
-
Yes without any read errors on disk2 or sync errors. I’ll generate a diagnostics for reference in a moment. Reaching home soon.
-
Ok. I’ll proceed to format my disk8 then and make it usable. In the meantime I have ordered a new 10tb to replace disk2. Hopefully the next rebuild on disk2 will be error free!
by the way my parity check completed without issues. So I guess that’s good(?). Will update back here if things go wrong. Thanks a lot for your help!

Got it. I hope it's really part of some media files, 29 KB will be insignificant if so.
Is there a set of instructions that I can refer for replacing disk2? It doesn't seem straightforward. I need to remove Disk8 completely (update parity drive?), then remove disk2, and put the 10tb disk (from disk8) in its place (disk2 slot). Is this correct, do I need to create a new config? 😱

Unfortunately no I didn’t. Right after I turned my machine off, I (iirc) updated my bios the next boot and it was back to normal. The drive was still secured so I didn’t touch it. Haven’t had this same issue since.
