  1. D510 in my unraid box http://ark.intel.com/products/43098/Intel-Atom-Processor-D510-1M-Cache-1_66-GHz
  2. Thanks for your reply. Ubuntu is my download machine and I will be writting to unRAID daily. What you suggested works very well and has doubled my write speeds. Now I will look into setting up a cron job. cheers!
  3. What would be the most efficient way to transfer data from my Ubuntu server to my unRAID server? Both machines are headless and on my LAN. I have used rsych over ssh from a laptop on the LAN. I have also used sftp in mc, again using ssh from a laptop on the LAN. What alternatives would you folks recommend? thanks
  4. OK, syslog no longer reports a problem with sda1. Repeat the Data Rebuild again? thank you sys2.txt
  5. thanks. Windows prompts with "Scan and fix (recommended)" upon insertion of USB drive. I should go ahead?
  6. I assembled my server after moving cross country and noticed that disk 6 was showing as "missing" in Device Status. I put a new drive into my server and selected the newly installed drive in Device Status as disk 6. Device Status for disk 6 displayed "wrong". I started my array and Data Rebuild began. Once completed, parity check was successful. I then rebooted the server and disk 6 displays as 'missing' again in Device Status. Please advise how to proceed. thanks. syslog.txt
  7. My results; Tunables Report from unRAID Tunables Tester v2.2 by Pauven NOTE: Use the smallest set of values that produce good results. 8. I tried to upgrade to UNRAID 5.0.4 from rc 16. I followed these instructions; Upon reboot, I get the message "Could not find kernel image : /syslinux/menuc32" and it doesn't boot I then decided to copy my config folder from the flash drive and followed these instructions: I copied my config folder back and rebooted. Now, after login, UNRAID doesn't know any of my disks, and is showing as basic (I was pro at rc 16) My array is stopped and I have not done anything further. May someone please advise how to proceed? thank you edit: syslog http://pastebin.com/xeZnUBDp
  9. rc15a I am trying to diagnose a problem with my server 'freezing'. This problem seems to happen randomly. I am not able to telnet to the server and the management page is unresponsive. How am I able to capture the syslog? Edit: I was able to take a screen cap from ipmi session.
  10. unRAIDip/Settings/DisplaySettings then there is a toggle for show banner image
  11. Is anyone using PMS and openELEC? PMS is getting all the metadata but it's not showing up in openELEC... just the file lists. On the upside, some of the plugins do work from PlexOnline. There are definitely some bugs in plexbmc confluence skin. Not sure if this is an openELEC issue or what but when I use the integrate option nothing happens when I try to use the selections on the main menu. Also if I try to select 'settings' from the contextual menu I get a script error.
  12. Good guess. I had the DNS address of my unRAID box the IP of my router. Changed it to 8.8.8.8 and it works now. I have specified DNS servers in my router config... can you tell me why my router IP doesn't work?
  13. I have run into some trouble while installing plugins. 'wget: unable to resolve host address' then the install process aborts. I was able to install the apc and plex plugins by manually downloading the specified files. What might be wrong? thanks.
  14. after --rebuild-tree disk shows as formatted with all data intact. thanks everyone.
  15. ok. So that was the drive I replaced. Once I switched drives and rebuilt the array, the hardware was fixed (new drive) but the disk tree was the same because it was rebuilt to the new disk? I'm running the --rebuild-tree now. I'll report back when it finishes. thanks

  17. Thanks for your comment. I clicked on disk5 link and the partition format is 4k-aligned, so sector 64? So that seems to match. I downloaded the script Joe L. posted (unraid_partition_disk.sh) and it states the disk is partitioned correctly. I'll indeed wait to see if Joe L. chimes in further.
