  1. Click on the settings icon (three gears) and turn off the "Pass through" switch. As for the time out, try another USB port, change the USB cable.
  2. The sdt disk is marked as pass through. UD will not mount a passed through disk. Feb 14 16:04:26 Tower kernel: sd 12:0:0:0: [sdt] Attached SCSI disk Feb 14 16:04:27 Tower unassigned.devices: Disk with serial 'nal_USB_3.0_2015033100081', mountpoint 'TO_Exter_nal_USB_3.0' is set as pass through. Feb 14 16:36:21 Tower unassigned.devices: Error: shell_exec(/usr/sbin/hdparm -C /dev/sdt 2>/dev/null | /bin/grep -c standby) took longer than 10s! The timeout error is UD trying to get the disk standby status. That's probably a USB cable or port issue, or an issue if the disk is in an external bay.
  3. I just looked through the diagnostics and it appears you have assigned USB disks to the array. If that's true, that's not a good idea. I suspect you are also using external drive bays. That might also be a problem.
  4. The diagnostics you gave me only go through Feb 12th. The log snippet you posted was for Feb 14th. Please update the diagnostics to cover Feb 14th and post those.
  5. Delete the /flash/config/plugins/unassigned.disks/unassigned.devices.cfg file, then click on the 'Refresh Disks and Configuration" icon (double arrows in the upper right) and see if it doesn't clear up the automount.
  6. Go to the settings and then turn on and back off the automount. That should clear it up.
  7. Log snippets are not very useful in troubleshooting problems. Please post diagnostics for better support.
  8. The disk has no file system. You'll need to format it. You'll need to install the Unassigned Devices plus plugin to format it.
  9. You have put your UD devices in the pool. Stop the array and remove them from the pool. You will then see them in the Unassigned Devices.
  10. It doesn't appear to be related solely to unmounting of the disk. I recommend the following: Remove the preclear plugin. Set the drive in question to not automount. Remove the drive in question. USB drives should be unmounted and removed from the system when you reboot. Reboot the server. Plug the USB disk back in and mount it manually. Check the log for errors before unmounting it. I suspect that the drive has some issues. Post diagnostics again if the log has errors. Why are you using EXT4 on the disk?
  11. Are you unmounting the drive before you remove it? You can't remove the drive until it is successfully unmounted. Post diagnostics.
  12. UD specifically ignores optical drives, no matter how they are connected to Unraid. Handbrake - used to rip DVDs. It's very easy. Look at this:
  13. I fail to understand your argument about ransomware. How is the recycle bin at any more risk than the share? The recycle bin is part of samba and I don't have a lot of control over it's operation. The .Recycle.Bin folder is in the share. Moving it somewhere else does not make a lot of sense.
  14. I've updated the plugin. Stop the recycle bin, update the plugin, then re-start the recycle bin.
  15. I've updated the plugin. Stop the recycle bin, update the plugin, then re-start the recycle bin.
  16. The recycle bin has the same permissions as the share. Set your user permissions on the share.
  17. It looks like you have manually changed some things in the smb extra file. Yes, the recycle bin makes some changes to the smb extra file. Please remove the lines from [rootshare] on, then remove and re-install the recycle bin plugin. The line 'vfs objects=' is probably removing the vfs recycle bin.
  18. UD does not support optical drives. You can mount the drive in a VM or Docker depending on your use case, or create an iso file from the DVD and mount that with UD.
  19. The recycle bin is only for SMB shares. You are deleting the files through a SMB share?
  20. There is no file system on the first partition. The disk 'Unmount' is based on the first partition. You can unmount the second partition by clicking on the 'Unmount' button on that partition. Unmount the second partition and then remove the first partition and it will go back to what you expect.
  21. Click on the '+' and show a screen shot of the mount point. Also post diagnostics.
  22. The way UD does the disk speed calculations is not that accurate and should only be used as a rough measure of the speed. It uses the reads and writes reported by Unraid and it's own time interval to determine the speed. The reads and writes can be chunky at times. There is no time averaging, or accounting for buffering of the data in ram to smooth out the disk speed.
