  1. Everything was stable as of October 29th. Then I had a reboot. And then another one 8 hours later. I'm going to try a hard power down and up to see if it stays stable for multiple days. At this point, my only thoughts would be I need to replace the motherboard and/or processor. Is there anyway to test either one of those components?
  2. I was having random errors with one of the hard drives. When I pulled it I noticed a bracket that was protecting the pins was cracked and a pin was bent. Regardless, I left it out and it seemed okay. But a few days later the reboots were happening again. I have adjusted the voltage on the chip to be fixed and that didn't work either. Today, I pulled everything apart, inspected the motherboard, reseated the CPU and the memory and put it all back together. I hope that helps. What I have noticed is that when I power the server down and make some physical tweaks, the server remains stable for a few days. After those days, I tend to get reboots 1-3x per day. I've been monitoring temperatures but they aren't out of the ordinary. It might just be a coincidence, but I wanted to mention it in case it means anything.
  3. Funny. About 5m after posting this, it randomly rebooted again. Syslog doesn't seem to be capturing the event. At this point, maybe I point a camera at the monitor and have it activate once it detects motion. As far as motherboard settings I disabled all the sleep settings. There is a motherboard overheat setting that I might try disabling and kick up the fans to max. I don't think it's been overheating but I'm trying to rule out as much as I can.
  4. Update - still having random reboots. What I've done so far: I ended up running Memtest for 48 hours and no issues were found. I ended up contacting Corsair and they replaced both memory modules - installed a week ago Purchased a PSU tester, checked the power supply and everything came back normal. I had my last random reboot on Oct 11. I have attached my latest diag to this post. I have considered going with a fresh start - maybe there is something running that is causing the reboot that I can't pinpoint. But I wanted to maybe rule out anything else before going down that route. (I remember as a kid, my Dad would reinstall Windows 95 every month on his laptop since he liked how quickly a fresh start gave him. I thought he was crazy at the time. Now, I'm starting to think he wasn't that crazy.) tower-diagnostics-20251013-0928.zip
  5. Sounds good. I'll run that and report back.
  6. Over the past few weeks, I've noticed that my Unraid server has randomly rebooted. I've been monitoring it, setup Syslog to write to flash, etc. But I can't figure out what is causing the issue. Earlier this week I updated to the latest version of Unraid (was previously on 7.0.0) and did a BIOS update to my motherboard, but no luck. My guess it's a power issue, but it's hooked up to an APS that has a newer battery in it. I tested by killing power to the APS and Unraid still runs with plenty of time left. I'm hoping someone can help with the log files and see what I'm missing. syslog syslog-previous tower-diagnostics-20250912-0938.zip
  7. Went a completely different route: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/cBKH3w Parts ordered.
  8. Starting to put something together here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/3VBNzP. A little high for what I wanted to spend. I'm wondering if DDR5 is worth the cost when DDR4 is significantly cheaper. I could possibly drop to an 11th gen CPU (still with iGPU). I would only be transcoding max 4 movies at a time.
  9. I've been using old server hardware for quite sometime. However, running at a constant 200w I want to upgrade - especially since I don't fully utilize the existing hardware. Current: Motherboard: Supermicro X9DRi-LN4+ CPU: Dual Intel® Xeon® CPU E5-2697 v2 @ 2.70GHz Memory: 128 GiB DDR3 Multi-bit ECC Case: Fractal Define 7 XL Graphics (for processing): Nvidia Tesla P4 8GB GPU Drive Adapter: 4 Port M.2 NVME SSD To PCIE X16 Adapter Converter Card PCIE Drive Adapter (installed, not used): LSI 9210-8i 6Gbps SAS HBA Using primarily Dockers such as the arrs, Immich, tvheadend, Plex, NextCloud and some VMs such as Windows and Ubuntu. So, what I have really is overkill. I'd like to bring everything down to a smaller form factor and simplify things. My goal is to keep the box primarily dockers and maybe a single VM. I am looking to build a Proxmox box for most of my VM needs. Here are things that I would like and could use some help with: Hard Drives: I would like to use up to 8 HDDs for storage, but up to 4 M.2s for cache and maybe a VM Motherboard: I like the idea of 8 onboard SATA ports and 4 M.2 ports so the ASRock Z690 Extreme ATX motherboard is right up my alley. LAN Ports: One thing I've utilized the MOST is the dedicated IPMI port on the current motherboard. There have been times where I lost power long enough were my UPS shut the server down. I have then been able to remote into and boot it back up when power has returned. Also, I've encountered random shutdowns outside of power loss so same concept. The ASRock motherboard doesn't have an IPMI Lan port so I'm not sure if there is an alternate solution. RAM: Not sure I really need ECC Ram - but I think 64GB will suffice Processor: Looking at anything with built-in iGPU for transcoding like the i5-12600k, but would potentially like more cores (12-20) Case: I want a Tower case, but I want hotswap bays. Where I keep the server it's not easy to pull the full case out all the time so hotswap would be useful. Current case is also WAY too big. Would like something smaller like mATX (or ATX to support the right motherboard) Wattage: Anything under 30w would be amazing Hard Drives: Plan on utilizing everything existing. But not going above 8 HDD and 4 M2s Looking to spend around $600 but will go up to $800 if I find the right parts. Thanks!
  10. I've been experiencing the same thing lately. 11. I've been having some issues with some of my Kodi installs and TVH since the latest update. I was going to check to see if going to an earlier version would fix the issue since I've ruled out many other items. TVH was next on my list.
  12. @saarg I use the tag linuxserver/tvheadend:release-4.2 for my docker. Is there a way to pick an older release of this branch? I've tried linuxserver/tvheadend:release-4.2:152 but that failed.
  13. I just installed this docker and admin:admin isn't working. I tried to uninstall, clear the appdata folder and reinstall. I'm having the same issue. Does anyone know the correct credentials for this? Thanks
  14. Checked this morning. Everything is working so much better now! I really appreciate it!
  15. The image is refreshed once a week on fridays. Any chance of an update this weekend? There are some bug fixes in the latest that will help me out. Thanks so much!
  16. I'm just double checking the this docker is on the most recent unstable version. According to TVHeadend I'm on version 4.1-2370~g0c506b4. When I look at https://bintray.com/tvheadend it says there was a version 4.1-2372~gfca44ba released. If I'm not just seeing things, is it possible to update the docker for the new version? Or, is there a way I can update the software without waiting for the docker update? Thanks!
  17. This is working well for the most part. However, I can't get a few platforms working correctly. I'm currently focusing on HomeAssistant and the plugin crashes when it tries to load. I have quadruple checked everything and my json file validates. I did notice that this docker (https://github.com/ckuburlis/homebridge-docker) is a few commits behind. Would that have something to do with this? Best
  18. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=- EDIT: This has been fixed. I had downloads set to /mnt/cache/downloads, but that share was set to not use the cache drive so it wasn't looking in the right place for scripts. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=- I'm not sure if this is a docker issue or an issue with the program, but I can't get scripts loaded in NZBGet. Docker: /config = /mnt/user/appdata/nzbget/ /downloads = /mnt/cache/downloads/ My settings to the script directory are mapped correctly: Maindir is /downloads Every other dir begins with ${MainDir}/ and they are working. (Scripts is ${MainDir}/scripts). However, when I drop a .py script into that directory (at the root, no folder) nothing shows up when I try to add the script. I've tried restarting the docker many times. Removing and readding. Even chmodding all directories and scripts to 777 and chowing then to nobody:users. Nothing seems to work. (I've tried with multiple scripts located on NZBGet's site). I've also tried putting the ppscripts directory in the /config location as mentioned in an earlier post and that didn't work. Any advice would be appreciated.
  19. +1 too. Apple takes too long for hardware approval. This would be great!
