  1. I recently had to replace a drive in my array due to a drive failure. It was Disk 5 in my array. It was a 6tb drive and I replaced it with an 8tb drive. My cache drive is 8tb drive. It seems to have rebuilt fine. After startup of the array everything seems fine for a little bit but then it seems when something is tried to be written to the Disk 5 drive it becomes read only and become an Invalid Path when I try to browse to it. I thought at first it was a bad SATA cable or port so I replaced the sata cable, moved it to a different sata port. At a loss for what else to do to try and fix it. Any help would be appreciated. tower-diagnostics-20230716-1036.zip
  2. Thank you Frank1940, they are all like the above. Now I just have to wait on my power cable order since I didn't realize I was out of Sata power connectors. Then I can start replacing the drive and adding new ones to the array.
  3. Thanks for the help everyone. I have attached a SMART report that I hope someone can take a look to make sure I am not missing any errors. Thanks, Nate
  4. Currently have a 6TB parity drive and needing to upgrade to an 8TB parity drive for the new data drives I am adding to my array. Question, should I unplug my old parity drive and then plug in my new parity drive and select it in configuration to rebuild, or should I be able to just stop the array, switch the parity drive to the new drive and start the array again to have it rebuild the parity? If you could help in the steps so that I don't screw this up, as I have 40 TB of data that I do not want to lose. Thanks, Nate
  5. I was able to get it to work. Apparently it does not like having a directory with upper and lower case within it for the creation of it. I deleted both of my Docker Containers and noticed in my filesystem that I had a folder that was being created called appdata when I should only of had AppData. So I cleaned up the extra folders and recreated the dockers with all lower case paths and everything worked properly this time around. Aside from having it lose connection to the Backup Enine already once and having to reboot both to get it to work again. Thanks for attempting to help but everything is good to go now. Regards, Nate
  6. Here is the screenshots of the configuration pages with the settings for both container
  7. Thanks for the help. I was able to get my array back up and running and think everything is working correctly again.
  8. I am having an issue with CrashPlan-Desktop. I just last night downloaded and installed the Dockers for Crashplan and then CrashPlan-Desktop. When I look at the log for Crashplan it appears to be working as far as I can tell. When I remote desktop into CrashPlan-Desktop and double click or right click and Open on the icon for CrashPlan it does nothing. No splash screen, no error, no anything. I am at a loss for what to do. After my scare last night of having my USB device go bad I really would like to get CrashPlan working so I can try to get my data backed up in the cloud also, so any help is more than appreciated. Thanks, Nate
  9. So I was having issue with files missing when my server was running like my Docker.cfg and a copy other old behavior items. So I decided to do a clean reboot to see if that helped since my uptime was 309 days without issues prior to this. When the reboot happened it didn't come back up. So I took the USB Drive to my windows computer and it detected it but detected it as an invalid disk. Basically the USB thumb drive is toast. So fortunately when I bought my license key I bought two because I was going to build a second server later but it never has materialized but I was able to dig out that thumb drive. I plugged it in and it booted right up. Now my problem is I am staring at a blank configuration with no array defined. What do I do to redefine my array so that I don't lose my data? I have the following drives: 250 GB SSD Cache Drive (Easy enough knowing which one that is) 5 - 6 TB Drives 2 - 4 TB Drives One of the 6 TB drives is my parity drive, how do I figure that out? Does it matter what order I enter the other drives in on the array? Can I use the UI to restore my array and keep the data? Any help is definitely appreciated as right now I am freaking out that I might of lost years of home movies, pictures, etc. Thanks and Regards, Nate
  10. I about missed it but I found what I needed in the system log as I was getting ready to post it that led me to what the problem was. Some how during my physical move of my server from the workbench to the location where it will be running the USB thumb drive got set to Read Only. So it wasn't accepting my change to the Cache Drive. The weird thing was it would appear to accept other changes I would make which made it hard to realize it was read-only. Thanks for the attempts to help. For others who have this problem in the future, check your system log to make sure there is no read-only errors. Regards, Nate
  11. I purchased a pro key as I eventually will be go up to 12 disks in this server. The array mounts with the parity and 4 disks, so it appears to be seeing my registration key and it is in the process of syncing my parity. Regards, Nate
  12. Hello, I am very new to Unraid and I have been trying to read up as much as I can on it but I am having a problem that I have not seen mentioned and searched for and could not find a result for which just might be me not searching the right terms. I am trying to set a Cache Drive up on my array configuration and every time I select the drive from the drop down It highlights it and puts in the dropdown selection for a moment and then switches back to unassigned. My array consists of: 1 WD 6 TB Green as Parity 2 WD 6 TB Green as Data 2 WD 4 TB Green as Data 1 Samsung EVO 250 GB for Cache I am currently using version 6-b12. Thanks, Nate
