  1. I would also be interested in updated version of the CUPs docker
  2. Thanks that has worked, I can now access USB drives from within Krusader. But why was it showing as a 6GB disk in the WebGUI (3rd pic)? I forgot that the disk could have been busy and stop the unmount
  3. I removed the preclear plugin, It displays the correct size on the main page, I had to restart the array as when I click unmount it wouldn`t unmount the disk I still cant access the drive in Krusader, I used spaceinvaders video to do settings, Container Path: /UNASSIGNED -> /mnt/disks/ But I can access the drive in MC via putty and copy files to it. Where should I point my Path: /UNASSIGNED to access the unassigned drives Thanks
  4. Hi, I have trying to add a USB 1.5TB drive as an unassigned device but its being added as rootfs drive of about 6GB. The other day I installed a 1.5TB drive and it did the same thing, when I transferred some files it said it was full after 5GB. So I removed it and added it again after changing share settings to include all disk as I had previously remove a drive and shrank the array. Added drive and seemed ok In Kusader the drive is there but its empty Then back to the unassigned devices tab it shows a 1.5TB drive as a lot smaller Now its showing as an empty drive tower-diagnostics-20171216-1700.zip Any ideas thanks
  5. I have tried RC9 6.2.4 and it would work and reboot OK but tvheadend kept going laggy then my DVB cards would disappear for a bit and not tune but after other issues I gave up and have gone back to stock. I also tried just one card, The DVB cards would not list for VM pass through but I think I may have been able to add them manually. I installed the cards in another AMD based motherboard with RC6 Trial DVB edition and they seem to work fine so I am going to conclude that my motherboard is the issue here. Its a Gigabyte 970A-DS3P with a video and sata controller card installed. I will wait for Stable 6.3 but if the Motherboard is faulty I will never get it to work. I did have a VM running with a PCTV card working before but they are not supported under Linux. I will have to go back to running a spare PC just for live TV which is what I was trying to get rid of.
  6. Sorry I didnt mention that when I went back to test version 6.2.4 (Fresh), RC1 and RC2 I put the cards back in. Still AMD based but slightly older chipset. So to recap if I take cards out it will reboot/shutdown fine but if the cards are installed then I get the issue on RC2 and RC6. Didnt test RC3,4,5 as when I got to RC2 it gave the error. On the other motherboard I have a different card installed and that reboots fine on RC6 (Conexant Systems, Inc. CX23880,KWorld DVB-S 100 se) I think when I get home tonight I will take the cards out and test on the other motherboard and see what happens.
  7. Hi, If I remove the cards it will reboot fine. I did some testing with a trial key of a clean RC6 install and it failed a reboot. So I downloaded 6.2.4 stock installed the DVB edition for 6.2.4 and rebooted fine with the cards installed. RC1 rebooted fine also but when I installed RC2 via the plugin and rebooted I got the shutdown failure. It had a kernal panic error with cx88** which I guess might be the Hauppauge cards. Any ideas?
  8. I will try that next, probably tomorrow or at the weekend. The Hauppauge cards are PCI, I was using a PCI-e DVB card before in a VM and that didn't give any problems. Only stated after I changed to Unraid DVB edition and the TVheadend docker with the Hauppauge cards (which is not installed while I try and figure this out) Edit. I have gone back to stock RC6 with the cards installed and it reboots fine. So I'm assuming it's some sort of driver issue for one or both of the Happauge cards.
  9. Hi, I installed the RC6 Dvb version and whenever I reboot the system it hangs and I have to press the reset button. It does not start a parity check from an unclean shutdown. I have 2 Hauppauge DVB cards (Nova S2 and a 4000 I think) also a Cinergy DVB-T dual tuner) all the cards work fine in TVheadend but I get this error on reboot or shutdown. 10. Quick update, if I add the following to the xml <hostdev mode='subsystem' type='pci' managed='yes'> <driver name='vfio'/> <source> <address domain='0x0000' bus='0x03' slot='0x00' function='0x0'/> </source> </hostdev> I can now see the PCI device in my Win7 WM and also if try to create a new VM the PCI device is listed in the Other PCI Devices: Section. So not sure if to call this solved or not, I guess if I edit the VM GUI settings then I may lose the edit in the XML.
  11. Hi, I have an Unraid (Plus) system setup where I was using a Win7 VM as a tv server. It is a basic install with a tv card tuner passed through to the VM. But after a power outage it will not pass through the PCI device to the VM. I can see it in the pci devices list but I cant select it in on the VM edit or add it to a new VM. I can edit the VM to use the video card or the sound card. I have tried the card in a different slot, rebooted with it removed and installed again Thanks for any help PCI Devices and IOMMU Groups IOMMU group 0 00:00.0 Host bridge [0600]: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. 12. I use 3 of the Akasa AK-HDA-07 but I paid about £16 each for them, I am going to upgrade the fan to something better. Amazon sell them but they are not cheap at the moment. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EXPANSION-KIT-4X-3-5-HDDS-3X-5-25-BAYS-Part-Number-AK-HDA-07-/271927030390?hash=item3f501d3276:g:r~AAAOxyx-BScA2m
  13. Just an update, I deleted the network.cfg file from the flash key and replaced it with one from an Unraid download zip. Booted server and my mac in settings has changed to that of the internal nic. I powered down and removed the intel nic but on power up I get no network on unraid, no shares, webui or ssh. My router is giving unraid an IP and it is displayed on the console but I cant connect to it. When I enable bridge so my VM gets its own IP the mac changes to that of the intel nic. I think I will have to Re-Install unraid 6 and start again. Whats the easiest way to keep docker files?
  14. Yes, I am using it now, I want to remove the Intel nic as it takes a PCI-e slot. I can plug the cable into either nic and use them but I can`t remove the Intel nic without losing network connection.
  15. Hi, I can`t remove my 2nd network card, I had Unraid running with an intel nic as I read that realtek drivers are not the best, but as I was always getting errors on the dashboard I decided to try the realtek nic as I had upgraded the motherboard. I enabled the realtek nic and used it with the intel nic disconnected, my transfer speeds went from 90 - 100 down to around 80MB/sec but with no errors. So I decided to remove the intel nic but I get no network access with just the realtek installed. My server will not access the network without the intel card installed even though it is not connected to my switch. I have tried restarting my router, the mac address is not listed in network.cfg so can`t remove that. My server has DHCP IP from the router which is static but have tried setting a static address from the Unraid GUI. Anyone got an idea on how to remove the intel NIC? Thanks tower-diagnostics-20160312-1521.zip
  16. Hi, I was changing my unraid hardware so I could use VM as my amd fx4100 based system does not do pass through. I had an Intel 775 Dq45cb board that will not see the HP sata 4x card in a 16x slot for video card. It doesn't recognise the card at all. No menu etc. I get the same when I install it in my 2500k i5 system either, only AMD. Is there any reason why my intel based system won't accept sata cards in the video 16x slot. I looked in the bis but couldn't find anything. Thanks
  17. Hello all, I got myself a SAS3041E-HP card off Ebay because it was cheap. I knew that I had to flash the card to IT firmware and that it does not support drives larger than 2.2TB (well it does but not able to use all space). I couldn`t flash the card with the files from LSI (avagotech) website using freedos. Kept getting the pal error on 3 motherboards even an old one. Had to use an old MSI board but using an old win98 dos disk via usb, freedos would not work. So I have a working SAS3041E-HP card with the SAS1064ET (b1) chipset working. I`m going to do a parity check to see if my speeds improve over the SiI 3114 card, they should do.
  18. Hi, I was looking at the dashboard of my RC3 box and while I was hovering the mouse over the smart status it said "Reallocated Sectors" I do have another drive that has 135 which I am keeping an eye on. This drive just said "Reallocated Sectors" but no quantity. so I did a SMART extended self-test and it passed and is now saying "0 Reallocated Sectors". The smart test shows, 5 Reallocated Sector Ct 0x0033 200 200 140 Pre-fail Always - 0 The drive model is WDC WD30EZRX and its only about 8 months old. Thanks Will
  19. I have a plus key 4 data drives(3,3,2,1TB) and a cache drive. Moved from Win 7 to unRAID, I just wanted to know if there were any plans to increase data drives for the plus key or adding a new tier between the plus and pro. I will probably just upgrade to pro so I have it if I need it, like I said earlier I will need more than 5 data drives at some point in the future.
  20. I looked at that but it looks like its for a second key that's the same so not plus to pro. I'm thinking of taking this offer up as my Daughter is starting a photography business and I'm trying to convince her that an unRAID box would be beneficial for her.
  21. Thanks for the link Ashe, interesting read in your thread. I can see the benefits of upgrading to a Pro licence and maybe adding a 2nd unRaid licence later but that will be for power users and commercial use. It seems like it was considered that there might be a key between plus and pro but looks like it will stay as it is the last post in that thread was over a year ago. I admit its a good deal for the pro licence to have spare capacity for the future you can never have enough. I will get the pro upgrade in time and have some fun trying to fill it up.
  22. Hi, Don`t know if this has been asked before, couldn`t find anything in the search. Are there any plans for a middle key say 10 - 12 data drives. I`m sure some people will need more than 5 data drives but won`t need 23. So was just asking if there were any future plans for a 10 - 12 data drive key priced around $90 and the upgrade from plus for around $30 to $35. I will probably need to upgrade my key at some point but I`m sure I`ll never need 23 data drive array. Will
  23. Update, couldnt delete the files after I copied them so had to run a Reiser check, after that was finished I deleted the files and folders, removed the drive and let unRaid restart the array. Put the drive in a windows box to run Seatools and it would not zero the drive or do a long generic smart test, both failed. Although I was able to do a long generic smart test before I precleared the drive. Anyway got an error code, emailed samsung and two hours later I got an rma number So I will be getting a replacement drive, hopefully a good one. Not bad when the drive was manufactured in Feb 2011. Thanks Will
  24. I`m in the process of moving all data off to other drives, should just fit. Only got 1.3TB to go. Then I will stick the drive in a windows box and run seatools and hope I get an error code so at least I will know what is up with the drive.
  25. Now I have 168 errors when I was copying some files off this drive.
