If you don't have any VM's, then no, no special changes needed.  It's always wise though to make a copy of your drive assignments, just in case.  If you do have VM's, they will probably need some adjustment.

Nope no Vm's. By copying drive assignments you mean which drive/serial is drive 1,2,3 and 4?

  2. You're just not understanding how volume mappings works...

/data (inside deluge) and /mnt/cache/Cache/Torrents is in unRAID.

What you've mapped to inside deluge is /data (it becomes linked to /mnt/cache/Cache/Torrents/

So what you want to do is set your download folders to:

    /data/-AutoDownload and /data/-Complete

Deluge is saying permission denied because you've got it mapped to /mnt/Cache/Torrents and as far as Deluge is concerned, that doesn't exist.

Exactly what I needed to get it running thanks!

  3. I know this is a simple config issue but I cannot seem to find out what it is. when downloading any test torrent I get this "Permission denied: /mnt/user/Downloads/incomplete/"  I have the /data pointing to /mnt/user/Downloads/

in the docker and in the program itself. What should these settings be? I even set the directory to 777 temporarily trying to troubleshoot. Any help would be appreciated

  4.

I reinstall crashplan and it works for a while then it happens again. I have restarted my backup now about three times and it currently is giving me the error again. Do I have crashplan installed wrong?

    /data I have set to /mnt/user/

    /config I have set to /mnt/cache/appdata/crashplan

    Am I missing something?

This kind of problem usually is related to the Mover script moving files from the cache disk to the array...

How do I stop this sorcery?

  5. I have been getting these errors from the log while running crashplan:

  7. Only the update notifications(Plugins and Dockers) are broken for me. All of the rest work fine.

Same here, all other notifications work, just the update notification for plugin and docker.  I think it was mentioned there was a fix in the next release to handle this.

are you using username or [email protected]?

All I get is authorization failed no matter what I set for "googlemail" AKA Gmail

You have to set Gmail to 'allow less secure apps' https://www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureapps

    reported this the other day

The above along with my settings work just fine for me. Keep in mind I'm talking about Nofifications in general not Plugin updates.

  9. So I took the easy road and stopped the array. Changed the drive(Selected the dropdown) to No Device and swapped out the drive with the new larger one. I waited maybe 1 minute and the new drive showed up in the drop down. I selected it and restarted the array. It started rebuilding immediately after that.

  10. Ok, then i hope that unraid add SMB3 in the future. I don´t want to disable ist on the 2 Win 10 pc´s, cause i have a WD NAS which works great. Of course unRaid ist way more powerful, but for me it is a perfect and relatively easy way to turn my old pc into a storage server for backups.

unRAID cannot add SMB3 support until it is supported by Samba, and I am not sure there is any timescale for that yet.

    "Soon™"

I have verified this is in the latest round of patches from M$. My laptop wasn't updated and it was the only win10 machine in my house that could still the shares. I updated it and after reboot I had no more shares showing.. You can still get to the shares but you can no longer browse them.

  11. I don't think unRAID currently supports hotswap.

Linux supports hot swap, and unRAID mostly does, but I think unRAID can become confused, if drive symbols are reused by the kernel.  For example, if sdj is removed and a new drive inserted, and the kernel for some reason assigns it to sdj too (because it thinks it's available now), then unRAID may assume the inserted drive sdj to be the same drive it previously knew as sdj.  (I'm guessing a little here, don't remember for sure how it appeared to work.)

I would be very careful with hot swap, and monitor the symbol assignments.  It's probably safest to use outside of the array.

Well I have a full backup so I may just try it. You know for science :o

  12. I have unraid  6.1.8 and my array is in a hotswap bay. Can I just pull out a drive and put a bigger one in and let the parity rebuild it?

Stop and think about your request.  What happens when you pull a drive from an array when data is being written to the drive???

In a hotswap situation the array goes to degraded state until the new drive is put in.
