  1. Why 2 different sized cache drives? Also is 2 parity drives needed? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. To start this off, what will be your HD’s? You said you’d replace the 3x3tb with a 10tb and keep the 16x4tb right? Will you buy more 8 or 10tb drives? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I’m commenting to see about this post getting some more responses Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks for the update! Good stuff and glad to hear you upgraded the CPU Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  9. What are you using the 2 14tb drives for? A buddy of mine has a 12tb and for me I’d want to make sure I’d get a deal or shuck them to make it worth my money. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Why the i7 CPU instead of an E5 or something? Are you trying to use it as a media server and main machine? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. That’s fantastic! Great upgrade. How many more 10tb drives will your case hold? Or will you upgrade to 14tb and 16tb drives? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Im kinda thinking similarly myself. Also I use Arq to backup to Backblaze B2 so I’d want to make it compatible. It seems that I could run a virtual machine to run Arq and of course I’d have a couple hard drive copies not in my server for extra relief and protection. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Great post! What are your storage needs now? Will you be upgrading and getting rid of those green drives soon?
  14. I’d personally use UnRaid as backup for photos. External drives are cheap and allows you to cover your bases. SSD for current photos and such for speed.
