  1. Hi, I also have this issue after upgrading to 6.10.3. Typically: Server becomes unreachable on the network Physically, server is on but unresponsive - even via direct keyboard / mouse interaction I had to give it a hard reset a couple of times but it won't last 8 hours before freezing again, even the parity checks don't get a chance to complete I have reverted to the previous version as my backups are stored on the Unraid environment and I couldn't afford to be without. After roll back, the server has been stable for just over 24 hours. I'll have a look at the BIOS settings as recommended above and change accordingly if needed.
  2. Just a quick update: I took my Unraid server apart this weekend and rechecked all the cables - unplugged and replugged all the drives. After powering up, only one of the two disks was actually faulty, so I've replaced it and the server is currently rebuilding the array.
  3. Hi All, I'm sh*t out of luck with 2 out of the 5 (6 including parity) disks in my Unraid setup failing within the space of a couple of days. I've shared a screenshot plus the diag file and some lines from the event log. I have only tried to reboot the system a couple of times, but before I go any further and start unplugging stuff, I would like to know if there is any way to salvage the situation. I have two new drives on the way in the meantime but not quite sure what the consequences are of losing more than one drive in terms of being able to rebuild parity. 4. Nailed it! I was using the host IP for MariaDB but have now changed that following your recommendation. It looks like Zabbix is firing up now: ** Preparing Zabbix server ** Using MYSQL_USER variable from ENV ** Using MYSQL_PASSWORD variable from ENV ******************** * DB_SERVER_HOST: 192.168.0.30 * DB_SERVER_PORT: 3306 * DB_SERVER_DBNAME: zabbix ******************** ** Database 'zabbix' already exists. Please be careful with database COLLATE! ** Creating 'zabbix' schema in MySQL I guess takes a few minutes?
  5. Ok, I think you've put me on a trail - the log is filled with the below: **** MySQL server is not available. Waiting 5 seconds... **** MySQL server is not available. Waiting 5 seconds... **** MySQL server is not available. Waiting 5 seconds... So I need to check my MariaDB install.
  6. Am assuming you are referring to the syslog? I've attached as requested. Thanks for your help! syslog.txt
  7. Hi, I am having trouble accessing the URL for my 'Zabbix Webinterface' docker, everything checks out ok from the configurations. I don't know what I am doing wrong or where to look. Could someone help?
  8. I have the same question. I've deployed Windows VMs before under Unraid and always accessed the console via VNC. I'm a bit stuck for Open Elec though, couldn't find much in the documentation. How do you access the console and configure it? Thanks as always. Long Live Unraid!
  9. Hi All, Split Level0 + manual folder creation is a good enough solution for me - consider it solved. Thank you for your time and above all your patience!! Much appreciated. Regards, Nadil.
  10. I have uploaded a screenshot of my folder structure, basically whatever is highlighted in yellow needs to reside on a separate disk. I have used Itimpi's suggestion of a manual split - which will work for me even though there is a bit of elbow grease required but it provides the desired result. I implemented it last night and will see how it works over the next few days before I mark the forum as solved. I think the situation was complex since I changed split level strategies way down the road (compared to doing it in the beginning). And it looks like the High Water mechanism was on its second pass on the first disk before moving on to the other disks.
  11. Ok I think we are getting somewhere - I would like to highlight at this point that ALL the data that I am working with right now existed on my Unraid set up previously (before I changed the split levels). So what you're saying is that if the data existed on the share previously, the split level policy will be ignored / overridden? If that is the case then I need to move all my data off Unraid? Destroy the array and rebuild it??
  12. Itimpi - thanks for the recommendation, will try it but I doubt it will work since the problem at hand is simply the fact that the 'High Water' mechanism isn't kicking in and allocating data to the other disks. Nevertheless at this point I am open to ideas, will give it a shot and let you know.
  13. @Dgaschk - just to clarify with regards to your comment 'level one refers to the share.', then it is indeed Level2 that I want to implement, meaning that my Movies folder should be on one disk, Downloads on another, Backups eventually on another, etc.
  14. @Earthworm - Disk1 is 2TB, and has already passed the halfway mark (1.2TB used) with my movie collection. Despite that, everything keeps going on that disk rather than being split onto the others.
  15. Attached is the screenshot for Unraid main. Movies are organised as follows: Netdrive | Movies | Complete | ..then all folders are equal at this level.. Netdrive |Movies | TV Shows | ..then all folders are equal at this level.. I also did a quick test - I created a folder on disk4 manually with the same names and levels, and then populated it with data. Then if I tried to access it via the network share, and try to normally copy data to that folder, it just defaults to creating a folder on disk1 and sending the data there (see screenshot UNRAID_TEST). Hope this makes sense. Regs, Nadil.
