  1. I've installed this app and it says its running, if drives are all spun down and I do an SMB directory list/search, all the drives spin up...and it takes a long time.

    Unraid 6.1.9

    System details and Free -m

    I've not been able to find a console other than the config:

    width=300http://my.jetscreenshot.com/12412/20160622-baq8-40kb.jpg[/img]

    Pretty much default install except to scan user shares.

    Is there a console or some status we can get from the system other than "Running" on the config screen?

  2. I've just added more disks to my system.  One of the original drives (4TB Seagate) is over 90% full.  The disk is part of a share with 6 other disks (Movies).  There are several new drives (5TB Seagate and 2 3TB Hitachi) which are filling with data in a nearly equal way, however, I'd like to free up some space on Disk 1 so that the free space remains proportionally the same among all the disks.  I could just move files...annoying and slow.  What I'd like is for the system to automatically balance files across a number of disks or within a share.  Is there a utility or best practice for automatically maintaining that equilibrium?  I looked at Unbalance, but it looks like it's only a utility to move folders, not balance disk free space within a folder (which would do what I want...).  I know that multiple shares to a disk complicates this issue, but I'd be happy to limit shares per disk if that would help...

  3. Just found this interesting tool and having some questions about setup.  Followed the settings found in this thread, but I don't see any discussion around the "Tasks" in the Disk Verification Tasks section.  Is there documentation on the tasks?  Do I need to set something up?  Are there additional utilities I need to install to get it working?

    Sorry, another newbie trying to learn...

  4. Its the environment variables and values that I was looking for...

    I switched over to kenji's dropbox docker, but I don't think you need a login. Maybe dropbox changed something on their end. Try going to the website and see if you can find someplace to enter the link info.

    I switched over to Kenji's dropbox as well.  Better documentation on the Environment Variables:

    Environment Variables:
    * DROPBOX_USER: Dropbox user (default: nobody)
    * DROPBOX_USERID: Dropbox user id (default: 99)
    * DROPBOX_GROUP: Dropbox user group (default: users)
    * DROPBOX_GROUPID: Dropbox user group id (default: 100)

    But no password...  When I setup the config, it won't start...I'm guessing because no user password.  When I click the logs (see screenshot), no info there...

    Thoughts?

    Thanks in advance...

    Jeff...

  5. Sorry, I'm a bit vague today... :o  The Cache backup docker app that Squid created...

    It is not an own docker app, it is a part of CA.

    First update CA to the latest version, then from the unRAID GUI go to settings, and then "Backup Appdata" under Community Applications, then you can set up a backup for appdata.

    Ugh, hadn't thought it would be in Settings.  Found it, installed and working, thanks.

    BTW, it does not like path names with spaces in it...(yes, I'm from a windows world...)...but I can grep the reason...

    width=200http://my.jetscreenshot.com/12412/20160501-wjyi-27kb.jpg[/img]

    Well...perhaps I don't grep it after all...  Why would we need to specify BOTH a destination share (we mean a real share right?) AND a Disk?  I chose the wrong disk but the right share and it got confused.  Shouldn't the share not care about which disks are involved?  Choosing both the correct share and the correct disk works (its doing the backup), but seems like you really on need the share?  Help me grep it...

  7. Probably just a noob thing, I didn't see what the environment variables should be, etc...

    Hit advanced settings when you add the app

    Thanks, I did click on advanced settings, and I saw the environment variables, but no indication of what the values should be anywhere that I've seen... Its the environment variables and values that I was looking for...

    Jeff...

  8. Just installed the Dropbox Docker, but don't see what the environment variables for userid, password, etc?

    I see in the log the following:

    Please visit https://www.dropbox.com/cli_link_nonce?nonce=1d1c992c0f14614db8588e444b0f51c8 to link this device.
    This computer isn't linked to any Dropbox account...

    Then when I follow that in a browser I get a 404 errror:

  9. Yep, got it as well.  Here's the exact email contents:

    Dear Jeff,

    Our records indicate that one or more of the devices associated with your CrashPlan account are using an operating system that does not meet the supported operating system version requirements.

    Beginning on May 16, 2016, all devices that connect to the Code42 public cloud will be upgraded to CrashPlan app version 4.7. If you use another computer you own or a friend's computer as a backup destination, both computers must upgrade to CrashPlan app version 4.7 in order for backups to continue. These computers must be upgraded to a supported operating system so that the CrashPlan app can automatically upgrade to version 4.7 and continue computer-to-computer backups.

    Details on this topic and your options can be found on our support site.

    For an optimal data backup strategy, we strongly recommend that our users backup to three destinations – local, offsite and online. Learn more about our triple destination backup strategy here.

    If you are interested in learning more about automatic, continuous cloud storage options from CrashPlan, check out our subscription options at store.code42.com/store/.

    Thank you,

    The CrashPlan team

  10. You can point it at all the exact same folders.  As long as it is the only one running it will work fine

    Ok, I installed the LimeTech version of Plex and its running, but, even though I used the same volume mappings, it had to rebuild all the libraries?  So it appears I've lost all my modifications...  Is there some trick to getting it to reuse the existing Plex database?

  11. This is a repost from the Crashplan support thread, perhaps related to what else is going on recently?

    This is the strangest thing.  I installed Crashplan docker and it was working perfectly for a couple of days.  Then it just went away.  Completely gone from my docker?!?  I've been having problems with my plex docker doing odd things - See: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=45844.msg466039#msg466039 - so don't know if related.

    But crashplan does not show up in main - yet - the directory structure is there?  Appdata is on my cache drive share.

    Any ideas what could be going on?

  13. So long as you've stored the database outside the docker.img (within appdata) you don't need to worry about it.  If its stored within the docker.img then no real easy solution.

    Since they're going to be named differently, just stop the compassionate one, then reinstall.  If everything goes fine then you can delete the first.

    If I install a new one, I should use the same parameters for the various directories?  appdata, config, etc?  If I use a different set of directories, then I'd lose all my updates to the plex database?  (i.e. descriptions, backgrounds, etc...?)

    Can I just copy the plex database from the appropriate directory?

  14. Hey, I'm a patient man - and fully get the "time" issue.  Sounds like what you are developing is what I want...since this is no emergency, I'll wait and be your first guinea pig!  Just post back or pm if you want me to give it a try...sounds like a great tool...  Editing and managing scripts can be painful, be great if we 'noobs' could just access a GUI based tool that would do the heavy lifting for us based on a functional basis (i.e. backup cache drive, etc...)

    Let me know when you're done and I'll buy you a beer!  ;)

  15. Sorry, I should have been clearer.  Appdata is a share, but its NOT in the array, so no parity and no protection.  So my poorly worded point was I would need a script to periodically move the cache drive appdata directory and docker.img file to the array for backup?

    Right?  Do you do it this way?  Got a script to share?

  16. So best practice would be to setup the Plex database to be /mnt/user/appdata/plexmediaserver?  or something like that?

    Or conversely, couldn't I just use a script to copy the entire /mnt/cache/appdata directory to a directory on a share?  That would seem to make sense since the cache would have better performance...?

  17. LOL - I bet the Woz would like to start over ("goto begin")...  Although I'm sure his millions have softened the blow a bit...

    A couple questions on the Reinstall:

    1. Should I just reinstall the docker.  Or do I have to uninstall and reinstall

    2. How do I backup the plex database in that process?

    Thanks again for the life rope!  ;)

  18. Unless you named it compassionate_snousi, then its actually an orphaned image hence why version not available

    But, I'm a little bit surprised if it is an orphan why its actually running.

    Based on this do you think I should reinstall Plex?  By the way, I never named the docker, not sure where that came from...

  19. Yeah, that was another oddity about it.  Perhaps this is the cause?  I had to completely rebuild my Plex server last week because I lost my Cache drive.  So I reinstalled a new SSD, created a new Docker and installed the App again.  Everything was working, except I've started to see this behavior.  On several other Docker apps too.  They "stop" themselves for some reason.  I looked through the Log, but didn't see anything of note...  (attached).

  20. I've successfully installed Crashplan on Windows 10 and unRaid Docker.  Setup the following in the docker

    width=800http://my.jetscreenshot.com/12412/20160412-f0ct-32kb.jpg[/img]

    Crashplan found the unRaid server with no issues, allowed me to choose that for the backup destination, and ran (really slow, at 2.3mb/s that's another issue), but I could not find any files created in the /mnt/user/Backup directory.  It remained empty.  Then Crashplan ran out of space at 15.9GB (I have a 16GB Flash Drive?).  I've looked on the flash drive, but no unaccounted for files or directories (perhaps Crashplan deleted the backup if it couldn't complete?).  I have no idea how Crashplan would determine that the /mnt/user/Backup directory would be on the flash drive but, hey, anythings possible.

    Crashplan on the Windows 10 64 Bit Pro client.

    Any wisdom would be appreciated!

    Jeff...

  21. And I believe that message just means that the file(s) are existing somewhere on your disks beyond the disks that your included disks has listed.  Possibly you set the included disks after you had created the share and had files on it.

    That makes sense, but I've never copied files directly to a disk share.  So how can I find where those files are on Disk1?  I've looked at the files and ALL the folders/files are shares...

    width=500http://my.jetscreenshot.com/12412/20160412-jdzm-163kb.jpg[/img]

    And thanks for the IMG tip! ;)
