  1. Plex just needed some time to update, all good now
  2. Reboot resolved issue, got IP! Readded port to forward for remote access to dockers, though plex is still not working, so will need to look into that
  3. Was able to pull my diagnostics, attached. tower-diagnostics-20220707-2203.zip
  4. Just found this helpful comment, able to login to the webui now and hopefully will be able to resolve.
  5. Currently away, don't have access to the machine physically so providing all I can. So, about a week ago I started being unable to access Plex and other dockers running on the server. I logged into a Windows VM running on the server and accessed the WebUI, checked logs, restarted docker, etc. and still no luck so I decided to reboot. I clicked reboot and waited for things to come back online. Unfortunately, things got worse as the VM came back online, but now I could not even connect to the unraid webUI. Tried pinging and nothing. I then accessed the router settings and upon looking at connected devices I found the server with the following details: IPv4 Address 169.254.213.100 Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0 IPv4 DNS 192.168.1.1 Ipv4 Address Allocation Static Lease Type Static DHCP lease time remaining Never IPv6 LAN Prefix 2600:XXXX:XXXX:4b00::/64 IPv6 Global IPv6 Type / Address Allocation Stateless IPv6 link-local :: IPv6 DNS 2600:XXXX:XXXX:4b00::1 Network Connection Bridge Ping Test Test Connectivity Time on the network 5 day(s) 22 hour(s) 51 minutes 32 seconds As you can see it seems like it isn't getting an IP...curious how the VM is yet still able to connect and be accessible if it's setup in unraid...And for comparison, the VM shows up as well, but shows dynamic address allocation, DHCP lease type, and has an IPv4 address that is part of the defined ipv4 address range (192.168.1.2 - 192.168.1.254). Any ideas? Can I fix remotely or will I need to wait until I can physically access the machine? Let me know if there are any other details I can provide.
  6. Worked like a charm, thanks a ton!
  7. I just updated my docker to latest (I believe commits from 3 days ago) and now it will not load properly if I have the VPN on. At first I wasn't seeing any errors, so I turned debug on and then found the following: 2017-01-31 23:48:54,159 DEBG 'start-script' stdout output: [debug] Show name resolution for VPN endpoint nl.privateinternetaccess.com 2017-01-31 23:48:54,240 DEBG 'start-script' stderr output: Error: 2017-01-31 23:48:54,241 DEBG 'start-script' stderr output: error sending query: No (valid) nameservers defined in the resolver 2017-01-31 23:48:54,250 DEBG 'start-script' stdout output: [info] Adding 192.168.123.0/24 as route via docker eth0 2017-01-31 23:48:54,255 DEBG 'start-script' stdout output: [info] ip route defined as follows... What could be causing this? I'm using PIA by the way. Thanks.
  8. So I believe you misread/it was unclear, but what I was trying to do is have it so that my thumbnail indexes were not on my SSD because it isn't so large and with a lot of content it quickly would fill up. Anyhow, you reminded me that using a symlink is what I had originally tried before realizing I could just use the template in Unraid to map the path, and so that's what I did just now and it worked, so my issues is resolved, thank you for sparking that memory.
  9. I created a symlink using the following on a system running Unraid 6.2.4 and the Plex docker from linuxserver repo on plex pass update channel. ln -s '/mnt/user/plexfiles/Plex Data/Media/' '/mnt/user/docker/apps/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/' and then running the following so that permissions match the original ones chown -R nobody:users '/mnt/cache/docker/apps/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/' It is setup just fine, when I go to the directory on cache folder I see the contents of the other folder. However, once I go into plex and try to import movies, the metadata does not load, sort of. It will fetch it, but it does not set it. If I edit the movie manually I can set the poster and background from, what I believe, is a selection of images it pulled. It does not pull any of the cast, descriptions, directors, etc. I even thought at one point that maybe it could be issue without symlink so I removed it and tried to refresh item and everything loaded instantly as it should! So yeah, this is driving me nuts, what am I doing wrong? It's as if plex cannot access the directory via the symlink or something. I had this setup before but I recently had to reinstall everything and start from scratch and I cannot remember how I had this working.
