  1. I renamed network.cfg and network-rules then rebooted. It defaulted to DHCP and got new credentials from the new router! I then accessed the Web GUI and all my files were in-tact ! Thanks again.
  2. Hey! Thanks for your help in steering me in the right direction I renamed network.cfg and network-rules then rebooted. It defaulted to DHCP and got new credentials from the new router! I then accessed the Web GUI and all my files were in-tact ! Thanks again.
  3. Memory is coming back...Edit the NETWORK.CFG file? Will changing DHCP to 'YES' fix things? # Generated settings: USE_DHCP="no" IPADDR="192.168.1.8" NETMASK="255.255.255.0" GATEWAY="192.168.1.1" DHCP_KEEPRESOLV="yes" DNS_SERVER1="192.168.1.1" DNS_SERVER2="" DNS_SERVER3="" tower-diagnostics-20240206-2037.zip
  4. I changed my router and it came up with 192.168.4.xxx. It was previously 192.168.1.xxx. All previous devices that were DHCP connected fine. My unraid is static at 192.168.1.8. should I force the new router to assign 192.168.1.xxx addresses or is there a way for me to change the IP address on my USB ? This server has been running for years , OS 6.3.5
  5. did everything in the write-up but im stuck at this point. In addition to the password situation, I also changed routers and the server has a static IP. I 'm stuck , please see screen shot attached and advise...
  6. Its been several years since I've had to touch this. Recently I found my UPS and server powered down. Upon re-start I noticed that I could not connect via the WebGUI. I realized that I had upgraded my entire network to an EERO 7 setup and all the IP addresses has changed. In addition it now asks for a Tower Login and Password. Both has been long forgotten. Running 6.3.5 with over 20TB. I read in one of the wikis... Delete these files: config/passwd - I did not delete due to conflicting instructions in another wiki config/shadow - Deleted config/smbpasswd - Could not find After reboot it still asked for Login and Password Please Help!!!
  7. Thanks guys...It was indeed a BIOS issue...Its an ABit board and the bios had 2 places for boot priority. So though I gave my USB boot priority, I then had to go to the device priority page and move the FireFly to 1st.
  8. ran the 'make_Bootable' as Admin. I do not have that option. Nothing changed in the bios and I did go back and check. Something else must be missing. I'm running a JD 2GB Firefly since 2008 without any issues. Maybe something else is missing. Thanks
  9. I just tried to upgrade from 5.0.3 to 6.0.1 I backed up my old flash, then formatted. i extracted 6.0.1 to the new flash 'UNRAID', I ran 'make_bootable' and copied over my config files and Share folder without the old GO file. I ejected the flash and put it into my server, at power up it shows the Flash as a USB Storage Device, but also give me a 'DISK BOOT FAILURE' and asks for a system disk. I check my BIOS and it is unchanged, all options set to boot from USB. I'm not sure what I missed.
  10. Thanks Everyone...rebuilding Parity with the old drives...As it turns out the dropdown listbox for assigning disks had them all in order, but went through just to make sure. I'll then swap them ONE AT A TIME! I've basically added five 4TB disks and another 2TB I had sitting around for 2 years or so. I'll definitely take some time to understand the system better.
  11. yes, both, and I can see the shares are not there on either, so the rebuild is bad. Please point/walk me through the New Config process. I think what happened is that after I added the two new disks, I started the array. It accepted them as unformatted. I then figured I did something wrong and tried to replace the old disks but without doing a new config. the system rejected the attempt to replace the now new 4 TB disk with old 750 GB disk citing "disk too small" etc. Thanks all
