I can't get flarum to connect to my mysql database. I don't have this issue with any of my other dockers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Checking database connection...
Waiting 60s for database to be ready...
ERROR: Failed to connect to database on <my ip>

did you ever get this sorted? im having the same issue.

  2. yea if im honest i havent liked mongo at all. i use maria with my nextcloud and have found it rock solid. but ive been using this with rocketchat and its very flakey I had it corrupt on me in my early use. Then it seemed more stable so i deployed if for my use case and now this. im on the most recent build for it. i have left it stopped until the most recent build just to see if that solved my problem but it hasnt. thanks for getting back to me but looks like its a fresh install and hope for the best.

  3. I just cant get the onlyoffice document server running through https:// rather than http://... I have tried everything suggested in the OP. My webui is defaulted to http://[IP]:[PORT:80] my ports are assigned to 8092 - 80 and 4435 - 443.

It is working with the above UI as is. but nothing else works to get it working with https://... I have tried https://[IP]:[PORT:443], https://[IP]:[PORT:4435] I have also tried changing the ports to those shown in the OP but still nothing im afraid.

  4. I have been using this with Rocket chat. but just in the last few days it has stopped working. I keep getting the following re occurring in the logs.

    {"t":{"$date":"2020-12-04T11:46:09.052+00:00"},"s":"I", "c":"STORAGE", "id":3856202, "ctx":"IndexBuildsCoordinatorMongod-2","msg":"'voteCommitIndexBuild' command failed.","attr":{"indexBuildUUID":{"uuid":{"$uuid":"7d0cfc2d-1a22-40fd-88fa-bc7740c41fd7"}},"responseStatus":{"operationTime":{"$timestamp":{"t":1607082359,"i":1}},"ok":0.0,"errmsg":"command voteCommitIndexBuild requires authentication","code":13,"codeName":"Unauthorized","$clusterTime":{"clusterTime":{"$timestamp":{"t":1607082359,"i":1}},"signature":{"hash":{"$binary":{"base64":"w16K3Ax9dNrRM28e4KL7aAJD+5Y=","subType":"0"}},"keyId":6861917765322670082}}}}}

certain variables change but its the same over and over again. I have tried to delete the docker and image and reinstall but just goes back to the same thing. Rocket chat obviously wont start without it.

  5. Ah.... that cli command is what i was missing.... if you try login without the command it doesnt asked for the 2FA code and was giving me a login failed everytime!!! thanks very much for the help. Up and running now.

    EDIT

Unfortunately it still doesnt work very well for me at all. I can close the console after i login or i just cant get the login in details anymore... login just wont work after than initial login. restarting the container has a similar effect. Only thing i seem to be able to do is edit the docker and start fresh with it.... And then on top of all this no matter what i try i just cant get anything on my network to use the bridge. I think the fact i get this issue every time i start the docker might show there is some underlying issue with my container. Think im going to give up on this again for now. Thanks again for the help though.

Yes I did, but the only way I was successful was using the host networking interface setting.

You're running the bridge in CLI mode right? I never had an issue with the docker itself having an internet connection.

I literally just downloaded the docker from CA and left most of the launch details as it was. Any chance you could do a step by step?? I dont need it to work for clients on a vpn or anything... just a working container would be nice! XD

It does say CLI mode in the logs

  7. just fyi. I was onto live chat with PIA about this issue... just to get an idea if its something they are working on. This was the response i got...

Cipher handling for the data channel cipher has been significantly changed between OpenVPN 2.3/2.4 and v2.5, most notably there are no “default cipher BF-CBC” anymore because it is no longer considered a reasonable default

BF-CBC is still available, but it needs to be explicitly configured now.

Im guessing this is clearly something they need to configure and have not done so properly.... And this was just the fobbed off response?

All servers are working for me.....You have to use your PIA username and password in the container. For some reason PPTP/L2TP/SOCKS username and password are not being accepted.

I always have used that username and pw. Most recent update seems to have revealed that I was wrong. back to the same issue as before. facepalm!

  9. I've found the fix for the issue.... PIA have not updated their stack of ovpn config files. You need to go into their config file generator ( https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/pages/ovpn-config-generator ) and generate the .ovpn file for your particular server. I did this and replaced it with the existing .ovpn file and its working as it should... no need to make any changes to the file.

    EDIT

Just FYI... I chose nextgen servers and openvpn Version 2.4 or newer... and windows platform (by accident but it worked)... Switzerland server

Update: I was able to make this work by adding the 'ncp-disable' flag to the ovpn file. Not really a  great solution, but it allows use of the latest version of the Docker. No other changes or additions needed to the ovpn file as downloaded from PIA, just adding this directive. It's a cheat as it stops any renegotiation of ciphers and forces use of the one defined in the (deprecated) 'cipher' directive so will likely fail again in the future.

I've also seen posts elsewhere that suggest this does indeed vary by PIA server and that the Toronto server is the best behaved at the moment. 🤨

Had to use this to get it back up and running. the suggested answer given before just didnt work for me at all. i tried several servers and standard and strong files but couldnt get it working unfortunately. this will do as a temporary fix.

    EDIT

Just an FYI and may have absolutely 0 to do with this but, on privoxyvpn I updated my files replaced everything except credentials.conf and it just worked. I didnt edit anything in the .ovpn file. I used the swiss server and was using the strong files. These however do not work with sabnzb for me.

  11. Just a quick question... I have just updated to v20. I got the following warning in relation to the encryption...

There are some warnings regarding your setup.

The old server-side-encryption format is enabled. We recommend disabling this. For more details see the documentation.

Which goes on to tell me to check files and then disable encryption... I have scanned the files as suggested but im just wondering should i decrypt the files rather than just disable the encryption as suggested? Or what is the best way to deal with this? I tried searching the thread for this but didnt see anything about it. cheers

I'm still looking for MORE optimization if anyone has any advice on that.

Just to give you some tips i have found to work for me if you can do it ofc. I have all my nextcloud data on dedicated ssd's and the appdata and database running on an nvme. these changes improved my experience so much. everything was super snappy.. all users have also been asking what i have done as their experience has been greatly improved also. I am still running mariaDB and havent migrated that... its possible that may improve things further for me but i havent felt the need as things are very very snappy now.

    This is not a plugin.

What the linuxserver plugin does is that it downloads a prebuilt Custom Unraid image from their servers and you have to reboot your server.

My 'thing' is a Docker Container for Unraid itself that allows you to build your own Custom Unraid image (really really easy), just start it and open the log for the container (the build process will take about 15minutes on a i7 2600 with an SSD).

So you can build with the latest nVidia drivers.

I also have a Plugin in the CA App that reads basically everything from your Server that you can build with my Docker Container and display it (like the linuxserver.io plugin but with the advantage that you can integrate nVidia, DVB, ZFS and many more but you don't have to).

I had a quick look at it there. very nice... ill have a proper go of it a bit later when i have an hour to give it. cheers for the info.

    its not just you

the easiest solution is to install a "custom" kernel with updated drivers -- super easy

ah ok.... cheers for the response. I dont really want to update to the beta version of unraid just yet. CPU is ok to deal with it for now until the linuxserver plugin gets updated. Thanks again

  15. I just updated to the latest release of this and I am finding that the hw transcoding isnt working like it used to. It seems to have gone back to encode only? I am seeing very high CPU usage as a result. Maybe its just me or randomly the media being watched atm cant hw decode. just curious if anyone else is seeing this?

Does anyone know how to ssh into the docker container?  I have a problem with timestamps being five hours ahead of my time.  Unraid has the time set correctly and so does Rocket.Chat.  I may have found a solution on Rocket.Chat forums that requires SSHing into the docker container to set the region using this command: dpkg-reconfigure tzdata.

Can you do this through the console?

  17. I restarted my rocketchat container and now i get the following errors in mongodb and rocketchat doesnt load.

    {"t":{"$date":"2020-08-16T16:37:14.589+01:00"},"s":"I", "c":"ACCESS", "id":20436, "ctx":"conn19","msg":"Checking authorization failed","attr":{"error":{"code":13,"codeName":"Unauthorized","errmsg":"not authorized on rocketchat to execute command { serverStatus: 1, lsid: { id: UUID(\"df64c333-b79f-4986-a56f-0cc3968da9e4\") }, $clusterTime: { clusterTime: Timestamp(1597592229, 1), signature: { hash: BinData(0, 62B136C07F343273AEB323B4EE66340A7973F544), keyId: 6858676383569149956 } }, $db: \"rocketchat\" }"}}}

    I havent changed anything.

  18. Anyone using the android app able to open linked channels from messages? ie someone has put #channel in their message but when i click it I only get the channel description and i dont get brought to the channel itself. I cant see anyway to use this to access the linked channel. Is this something im doing wrong? Just wanted to check here before i go to the github and report it.

Just FYI i have tried both public and private channels with the same results. Everything else works perfectly and i will be moving from discord to this once i have this sorted.

Very nice video from Spaceinvaderone as always
