I was thinking putting couple smaller drives in to get it running. I have right now in old server 14 data and 2 parity drives. This new server can have 24 drives. I also have (3) 1tb NVME in the new server now.

So could I build the new server and use demo key to get all setup and running with dockers, folder and etc all setup and working right. They after working change my license from my old server USB to the new one. Then start moving the drives from the old server over to the new one without losing data? I don't really want try copying all this over network. I just feel like the new server needs to start fresh with Unraid to address anything I might messed up in the past.

I see he has a few. Where should I start if bring something new?

Hello all, I built my Unraid/Plex server about 10 years ago. Its been running ok. The hardware is really old so I am building a new server with updated hardware. The server I have is pretty large but I am thinking since like 10 years now it might be best to just start over with all my dockers etc. Are there any good guides/videos to help with complete redo? My old server didn't run with TRaSH guides etc back then so thinking might be best to start from the beginning now.

I have been using hotmail to send my alerts etc. I noticed now I am not getting anything.
